How to use the S Pen to take notes on the Galaxy Note10

Use your S Pen to make the most of Samsung Notes on your Galaxy Note10.

You can use the S Pen to write a note in a pop-up window without launching the Samsung Notes app.

 

1 Open the Air command panel and tap “Create note”. Alternatively, double tap the screen while pressing and holding the S Pen button to open the note screen as a pop-up window.
2 Use the S Pen to write a note.
3 Tap “Save”.

Using your S Pen, you can write a note on your Note10’s screen without unlocking your phone.

 

1 Remove the S Pen.
2 Start writing on screen.
3 To add an additional page, tap the down arrow.

4 Tap “Save”.
Tap Save
5 Your notes will be saved in Samsung Notes.

You can easily annotate documents, draw on top of photos and screenshots or make notes while using the internet with Screen Write.

 

1 Remove the S Pen and tap the pen icon on the right-hand side of the screen to open the Air Command menu.
2 Tap “Screen Write” to capture a screenshot.
3 Use the S Pen to add notes, crop and share your mark-ups.

Use transparent notes to quickly jot down information while doing something else on your Galaxy device.

 

1 Remove the S Pen and tap the pen icon on the right-hand side of the screen to open the Air Command menu.

2 Tap “Create note”.

3 Use the S Pen to write the note, then tap the Transparency icon. Slide the bar left or right to increase or decrease the transparency of a note. Tap “Save” to save to Samsung Notes.

1 Swipe up to access your apps.
2 Launch “Samsung Notes”.

3 Tap the + icon.
Tap the plus icon to create new note
4 Tap the Pen icon.
Tap the pen icon
5 Scroll left in the editing toolbar at the bottom of the screen, then tap the Background colour icon.

6 Select your preferred background colour, then return to the note by tapping the cross in the corner of the menu.

Use the quick highlighter to instantly change the colour and style of handwritten text.

1 Swipe up to access your apps.
2 Launch “Samsung Notes”.

3 Tap the + icon to create a new note.
Tap the plus icon to create new note
4 Use the S Pen to write note.
5 Tap the Change style icon. Select the style and colour of edits you would like to make, then use the S Pen to tap the text that you would like to edit.

Please note: If re-opening an existing note, you may need to first tap the Edit icon, then tap the Pen icon to reveal the editing menu.

Use your S Pen to write on screen, then instantly convert your handwriting to digital text ready to paste into an email, share on social media or send to your friends via your usual messaging app.

2 Swipe up to access your apps.
3 Launch “Samsung Notes”.
4 Tap the + icon.
5 Tap the Pen icon, then use the S Pen to write on screen.
6 Tap the Convert to text icon, then tap "Convert".

Alternatively, you can tap the handwriting with your finger, then drag the converter box down to include all the handwriting that you would like to convert, then tap "Convert".

3 Tap the + icon.
4 Tap the Pen icon, then the Favourite pen icon.

6 Select the pen style, then tap “Add”.

7 To use, select the pen from your favourites.

You can now zoom out to 70% and in to 300% by pinching the screen, making it easier to write small letters or edit text more easily.
