What is Samsung Cloud and how do I use it to backup or restore my data?

PLEASE NOTE: that some devices may not support Samsung Cloud.

Samsung Cloud allows you to backup, sync and restore content stored on your device.


You'll never lose anything important to you and can seamlessly view photos across all devices.


If you replace your phone, you won’t lose any of your data because you can copy it across using Samsung Cloud.


Backing up my device using Samsung CloudClick to Expand

Backing up your device to the Samsung Cloud will copy your content or data, and create a restore point. You can use this to restore your content or set up a new device. 

 

Follow the steps below to back up your data to Samsung Cloud:

 

1 From the home screen, choose Apps or swipe up to access your apps.

2 Choose Settings

4 Choose Back up and Restore or Back up my data

6 Select the data you would like to back up, then choose Back up

Restore uses the copy of your content or data currently stored in the cloud to restore or copy data to your device.

 

Follow the steps below to restore your data to your device:

 

1 From the home screen, choose Apps or swipe up to access your apps.

4 Choose Back up and Restore or Restore

6 Select the data you would like to restore, then choose Restore

PLEASE NOTE: that if you already have backup data from other devices, you can restore it to the new device. To do this choose Backup Device and select the device you wish to use.
