How Maintenance Mode protects your privacy during a TV repair

Maintenance Mode protects the data and settings on your TV or smart monitor if you need to send it for a repair. When in Maintenance Mode, only the basic functions necessary for repairs will be available. You can enter and exit Maintenance Mode through the Settings menu.

1 On your TV, go to the Settings menu and select Support
2 Select Maintenance Mode
3 Select Start
4 Choose a PIN. This is the PIN that you will need to enter to exit Maintenance Mode
5 When your TV or smart monitor is in Maintenance Mode, you will be able to see “Maintenance Mode” at the top of the screen

1 Select Exit
2 Enter the PIN that you set when you entered Maintenance Mode
3 Your TV or smart monitor will reboot out of Maintenance Mode

Before entering Maintenance Mode, it is a good idea to back up your TV or smart monitor data. You can do this with a USB storage device.

Backing up data

1 Go to the Settings menu and select Support
2 Select Maintenance Mode
3 Select Back up data
4 Select Start
5 Once the backup is complete, select OK

Restoring data

1 Go to the Settings menu and select Support
2 Select Maintenance Mode
3 Select Restore data
4 Select Start
5 Once the backup has been restored, select OK
