Would definetly not recommend this product or Samsung, product purchased 17/03/2024 so just 10 months old, recently notices the coating on the top of the door cracking, contacted Samsung as product under 3 year warrenty to be informed this is not covered under the warrenty even though this was viewed via video but if I wanted an engineer visit I would have to pay to which I agreed, however Samsung for whatever reason have also cancelled this without any explanation, bad customer service & warrenty not worth the paper it's printed on. I always had Panasonic combi microwaves without any issues whatsoever will never puechase another Samsung product as cannot be trusted.

NOT RECOMMENDED. I don't normally leave reviews, but I'm afraid this microwave oven has such poor reliability I decided to leave one. I have had 3 of these, the first one failed after 6months.The replacement failed completely after just 3 months then I replaced with a Panasonic which is still working perfectly. The 3rd one was a gift for my son and that has just similarly failed after 18months. Samsung service very unhelpful want £90 just for call out ! Samsung make some fine products of which I own a number of, but I'm afraid this microwave is not one of them. Interesting that I purchased at £200 and the price has now dropped to £129 ???

Total waste of money. My previous £50 microwave lasted 5 years and this one only 1 1/2 years Missing part on the display like few other reporting it, start button temperamental. Dial doing what it wants. Can not valid program and can't choose temperature because of it. I registered it with Samsung but they still want to charge me £55+vat fora technician to come and see what's wrong. This is a joke. So disappointed. I bought Samsung as I trusted the brand will never do this mistake again. I will make sure to post it every I can to warn people as it is a lot of money to be wasted ( paid £200 ).

Having many Samsung products from televisions, soundbars, washing machines I decided to get this microwave over the well-respected company starting with a "P" that makes microwaves. This microwave does what I need it to do when I can get the microwave to start but surely how in the world can the stop occasionally fails and start buttons fail so easily in 15 months. This is not the quality that I expect from Samsung and after talking to the inept and rude customer resolution person Jasmine and her condescending chat about the whole subject and refusing to listen to the previous call where the adviser stated that they would send someone to repair the microwave this rude person now states "no you are paying and I’m not listening to the call" Amazing how this person works for Samsung. This microwave is used in a home enviroment on a daily basis to heat up food mainly and cooks the odd chicken dippers and chips effortlessly and NOW I struggle to get the buttons working to the point it can take numerous attempts for anything to work.

I haven't used all of the automated/defrost features, but I have made cheese scones, banana bread, large Carbonnade and Lasagne dishes, roast turkey, cheese on toast, microwave cooking etc.., all excellent, (though after 40 years of catering industry experience I'm really not sure about the 'easy-clean' facility). My only caveat would be to make sure you register for the 3 year warranty, my start button has been flaky but after 3 call outs with Blizzard, Samsung's appointed repairers, I'm hoping it's now been resolved, the Blizzard engineers have been superb and amenable though. Don't let this deter you from what is an excellent device :).

Was quite happy with this for first 18months but then it started breaking. Currently - on the display some of it is no longer backlit - The start button used to do 30 seconds of microwave on first press, now it does it about 30% of the time (oddly enough mainly in mornings) - The Slim fry button used to be selectable directly, but for some reason you now have to press another program first, then change it to slim fry. Most of this happened just after warrenty expired. Harms my view of Samsung as a brand. I can see others on these reviews have same issues appears to be a design fault.

Faulty start button operation and display segments missing. Many reviews here with this same issue. I can understand that what ever we buy can develop a fault but in this case it appears to be an inherent manufacturing defect, what is worrying is that Samsung have given no indication that they have resolved the issues with this model or made allowance for it by offering a free repair or replacement to those customers outside of the guarantee period. So, I came here to buy a robot vacuum, not leave a review but having seen that others have had the same problem with this microwave and the lack of redress from Samsung, I will not be buying anything more bearing the Samsung name.

It is OK as a microwave but the additional features were not all as advertised. The slim fry only toasts the top of the chips and doesn't cook them properly. I have tried several types of potatoes, different oils and followed the instructions completely, made changes etc. Still the chips are very disappointing - even the children don't like them and they enjoy chips as a treat now and again. The dough rises for bread setting and it cooks a chicken quickly but feel it was a lot of money for an extra that doesn't work properly. I only recommend it as it has a few

Very disappointed: Bought this combination oven in Feb 2021 and was a delight to use and cooked lovely s well as looked nice as I bought it in White. Has now just totally stopped working. Display started showing faults a few months ago as other people have mentioned in thier reviews. Exactly same issues as other people. A real shame. I phoned Samsung and was simply told it was out of warranty, told it only had 1 years warranty though I’d registered it for 3 years extended. Very disappointed as was not fit for purpose to last just over the 3 years. They simply recommended a local repair company. A real shame because I would rate its use as being really easy and great looking product. Would I buy another , not so sure now as I paid a premium price for what I thought be a premium product. I thought it would last longer than it has done.

We like this, which replaced our previous combination microwave. But the instruction book is very poor & confusing. Our previous Sharp model had a very comprehensive instruction book and a recipe book too. This one lacks any real help as to what functions do what - eg Sensor setting, what it is, how long it takes, what it uses (microwave, oven, grill, combination). This is the same with other features such as Slim Fry. Proper instructions would make this a great microwave and 5 stars!!

I actually lovedthis little gadget when it worked well. Looked great, worked great until it got noisier and noisier and then no longer cooked my food on hotblast and grill. Bought in March 2020 and in March 2022 those two features stopped working and now im only using the microwave feature. I had live chat with one of your team who said it only had 1 year warranty. I thought it was 2! They went through troubleshooting and advised I get an engineer. Too bad the engineer cost for me to pay will be too expensive. I’d rather buy new item. I am very disappointed that Samsung had made a product with less than 2 year lifespan. Sadly, I may have to find a new Brand.

We love it but so unreliable we are on our fourth, 1st one after 9 months the rotary controller became less and less responsive and flaky. John Lewis replaced it but the replacement made a strange noise out of the box so replaced again, the next one the rotary control started to become unresponsive within a year just as the first one had done so JL replaced it yet again. After 3 months the current one started to shut down and the display went blank. This happens every couple of weeks or so requiring us to turn the power off and back on which gets it going again and its still not a year old, we don't even bother to set the clock anymore. We really love this machine which is why we are putting up with the problem in spite of the intermittent shut downs as everything else is currently working as it should. We would send it back but an intermittent problem like this would probably be hard to find and we cant afford to be without it for any length of time. What a shame such a great machine is so seriously flawed.

If so, the powering off may be caused by the microwave overheating and unable to cool off. Please make sure the microwave is placed on a flat level surface. There should be at least 10cm (4 inches) of space behind and to both sides of the microwave, with 20cm (8 inches) of space above it. We also recommend changing the fuse of the microwave as this can fix the type of issue you are experiencing. To do this, please follow these steps: 1. I've always been a fan of Samsung products, but that ended about 18 months after I bought this combi oven. After about 14 months the LED display stopped showing some segments - sometimes they would come on, but others would go out. Shortly after some of the buttons would stop working (again, rather randomly). I looked up all the usual fixes online and they suggested things like unplugging from the mains for a while, or various button press combinations. None worked. There are quite a few comments online about this being a well know circuit board problem with the product. Do not buy.

Having researched the microwaves at the time I was impressed by all the features this microwave was supposed to have. Considering i hardly used the microwave After a short length of time the clock /numbers were not visible and could.not use the microwave to use 900 Watts. With lockdown I waited to contact Samsung but even with everything being closed they were basically unhelpful and offered no assistance. Now the start button does not work at all so I'm left with a microwave that cost nearly £300 that isn't even working. Very disappointed.

My previous Samsung combi microwave lasted more than 15 years. This one started having faulty display segments and erratic controls after two years. The behaviour is similar to that described by other reviewers. Luckily, for now, the plain microwave function is still operational, but other features are hit-and-miss. I liked the oven while it worked, but now it is a source of regret and frustration. Sometimes I wonder if it is even safe to have a microwave oven with unreliable electronics. After about 18 months 2 years many of the buttons stopped working. We had to try restarting it or pressing some buttons in a particular order to get it to work. Now the buttons are totally not working. This is an awful awful microwave. Having now seen all the other reviews it seems patently clear there is some sort of inherent problem with the electronics/PCU. It's not acceptable that so many of us have had to put up with this fail and no doubt all after the standard 1 year warranty has expired. Maybe worth complaining to Trading Standards or reporting to Which?

It’s the worst, and probably the last Samsung micro I’ll own of many in 25 years. Instructions heavily weighted to USA market. In an effort to cover smaller kitchens the interior space is heavily restricted- little clearance between for example crisping tray and walls causing arcing with in any micro inclusive programme. Lack of “indentations” in glass tray to help centre racks and any items on them. Almost impossible to accurately place crisper plate in centre of high rack / thus hitting walls. Internal height is an issue- for example you cannot heat ready rice or soup containers/packs on a plate on the turntable without hitting the grill. And to add insult to injury many programmes are gradually failing as the warranty expires. Bye bye Samsung

I've owned this oven for approx 2 years. I bought it because I needed an oven with air-fryer style functionality as well as the other fucntions. I've had several problems with the start button not working over the years. It usually stops working for about 3 days before resurrecting from the dead, however the latest failure seems to be permanent. Looks like most of the negative reviews are about the same problem, so why, Samsung, is this product such shoddy quality? Looked into a repair but you want to charge £169 for an oven that is now on sale for less than £130. I do not recommend and will have to look at alternative brands for a replacement.

As the title says this would have been an excellent appliance if it was built to last but apparently that's not the case with this product. I experienced the same issues as most with the digital display not working and therefore the microwave stopped working which apparently seems like a known issue to Samsung. Mine stopped working shortly after 2 years and upon contacting customer care they advised me to have it checked by an expert who asked for £130 just to have a look at it and obviously more for spare parts and labour which feels like a joke as the product costed less than that. So basically it would be cheaper to buy a new one than servicing the old one. I would expect it to last longer for the price. Very disappointing.

Great potential, but I do wish it came with a recipie book. It has a lot of features, but I still can't find the best way of doing a crispy skinned jacket potato. It doesn't actually come with an example cookbook, you are given a link to download and print one yourself from Samsung. But as I say, it doesn't have a jacket potato in the book. One thing I don't like is that you have to pull the door open. If the unit is positioned on a smooth surface the pulling action pulls the microwave towards you. I find I have to use my other hand to keep it in place while pulling the door with the other hand. A push button door release would be much better.

I bought 2 of these microwave ovens - 1 for my mother and 1 for myself. Both of these ovens had a problem with the LCD display which would intermittently not light up a digit (after warranty of course). My mother's turndial eventually stopped working after 2 years rendering it useless. My stop.button has just stopped working after 3 years again rendering it useless. Interestingly a family member has a similar Samsung oven which also has the same problem with the LCD display. A fundamental problem I think. Samsung, maybe stick to making phones.

This microwave worked 'fine' for a while until it was just past its warranty period. After this, just like many many other reviewers, the buttons just stopped working and the display became faulty. We can manage with a slightly faulty display bit now the buttons have stopped, there is no way to use any functions of the microwave. It appears this is a manufacturing fault on the unit and surely Samsung are aware of this. Having contacted them they are totally unwilling to help and are trying to charge for an engineer visit to give a quote to fix it! Surely they should be replacing these units that are not fit for purpose free of charge having spent a large amount for a microwave that stops working after 2 years.

Bought mine 12/2019 lasted 6 months and the magneton went. Thankfully fixed under warranty (3 yrs) and engineer said it was EXTREMELY rare? Worked fine until 7/2023 and guess what? The magnetron has gone again. Quote of £200 including £99 to collect and time and parts to repair, that is MORE than I paid for it. Thankfully bought another working on eBay for £12.50 !! and to be honest THAT IS ALL ITS WORTH. Magnetron supposed to last 2000 hours 7/8 years normal use MINE had very light use and neither magnetron lasted more than 200 hours coincidence I do not think so !!!

Have found day to day use ok paid £220 and took extra 3yrs cover glad i did as have had it just over 2yrs and the keypad and digital display are now faulty. Have taken it back to currys and if its not back within the week can claim a voucher for what i paid to get a new microwave. I thought there was something wrong with the unit early on (< 1 year) when every now and again, despite going through the motions, it failed to heat things. I put it down to me hitting a wrong button. Then the display started losing led's. Then, as others have mentioned it wouldn't cook past 10 minutes. Then certain buttons stopped working altogether. I have had this microwave just over 12 months and the tempremental keypad now has certain buttons not working most annoying being the start button. First a few mode selects seemed to not always respond unless stop was pressed first thinking this was the sequence needed to change mode but now at least half do not work. Moving on from another well known brand starting with Pan and ending in sonic which I had for 5 years, I decided to try a different brand and buy a black one. Although the microwave capacity is 28L compared to my previous 27L, this Sammy is extremely big in depth and takes up an awful lot of worktop space. The build quality could be better also..you press the top of the oven and it pings in and out like cheap tin. However, I get great cooking results from this oven and I use the Hot Blast feature most of the time for pies and pizza etc. I am yet to try the air frying but I am hoping its good enough for me to retire the Actifry. I would recommend this oven, it's bit overkill for me as a single person but you will save time and money by not preheating the main oven and get good results.

I have many Samsung products, phones, fridge, TV, tablets, SSD drives, etc, etc. I made the mistake of trusting the Samsung brand when I bought this worthless trash as a gift. I cannot stress enough the utter cheapness and nastiness of this contraption despite Samsung trying to dress it up as a quality product. A little research which show you that it WILL stop working within 36 months of purchase, probably much sooner. When I say stop working, I mean the buttons will no longer function correctly. Without rhyme or reason, some will function, then won't. One day it will work, then another it won't. If you enjoy a lottery style cooking experience, then buy this. The vast number of complaints across various renowned retailers regarding the same issue os staggering, and the complete refusal by Samsung to honour their product lifecycle is just appalling. I've learned my lesson, and will never buy another Samsung microwave again. Utterly disappointed and embarrassed as this was a gift.

It’s a modern and smart microwave with plenty of handy features. Unfortunately, just out of the original warranty, 2 years, the buttons started to play up, the start button no longer works, so it mades it useless! Other buttons, like Microwave, which I never used, is also non responsive, etc. They now sell this model with 3 years warranty, which I find very unfair, as Customer Service says my original warranty expired after 2 years. Good features on paper & looks good. Was ok to use while it lasted (the combi/hot blast was more of a grill feature.. annoying when I paid extra for oven functionality). The real issue is quality/longevity. I don't actually use it that often, but within 15 months the controls started acting oddly, and within 3 years the start/stop buttons don't work & it's ready for the bin. A common issue with this model - it only lasts a year in some cases. Buy a cheaper (& more reliable) brand.

This microwave is one of many in the same series. It has many useful features, (although my model is missing the Sensor - which might have been useful). The microwave works well and is fast. The grill does a good job. The Hot Blast (convection) feature is just like a fast oven - cooks and browns well. The Slim Fry feature is useful, and really does seem to fry food! Other features are available - but I've not got round to all of them yet. One useful feature, is the ability to stop the glass turntable from turning round, to allow cooking of many different sizes of food items. And I like the inclusion of a round, coated metal pan - which is useful for grilling, oven use and frying. And, when you register your microwave with Samsung, you get a guarantee lasting up to 3 years - which gives you piece of mind. Overall this is a full-featured microwave, which also looks good!

Awful. Do not buy! Has broken down twice within 2 years with the same problem - start button stops working and Microwave will not start. Samsung not taking responsibility and offering a recall or replacement for alternative for what they know is an technical fault with all of these microwaves is shameful. I fully expect some Samsung support representative will reply here with some rubbish about cleaning or turning it off and on again or calling out support. It wont permanently resolve the issue with is a problem with the control board. You can buy replacement control boards online and fit without too much difficulty but even those are expensive. Given that part will fail again, you'll be better to buy a new Microwave if Samsung don't replace it. If you buy this, don't expect it to last more than 1-2 years. Buy another brand. I wont be buying Samsung products ever again. Find another brand.

The fancy auto cook features are a waste of time. The chip cook feature is great if you like soggy chips. Jacket potatoes come out as if they have been hit by a lorry. Bought in Aug 2020, cannot use any of the functions now. Some of the buttons don't work, one of the segments on the display is faulty, cannot start microwaving anymore after the microwave would refuse to start past a 10 minute timer about a year ago. Appears to be a common design fault on not just this microwave, but other microwaves. Look online. Father had similar model, his panel died in same way also. Out of warranty now, and was offered a voucher on a new microwave or a number for authorised repair. Repair looks like it will cost a substantial amount of money to the point I may as well buy a new microwave. I will be buying a new microwave, but it will not be a Samsung microwave. Extremely disappointed, to the point I do not think I will be buying any Samsung appliances at all in future.

The first one I got was faulty, the case was distorted so it only sat on 3 feet so I had the problem of swapping it by taking the old one back to the collection point and then going for the new one almost 2 weeks later. I've not used the new one much yet but immediately had a problem with it sliding on my shiny granite worktop when I try to open it. The feet are hard plastic, why isn't there a rubber pad on them, has nobody at Samsung got sense to think of that? The next problem was that I'd just set the clock, then accidentally pressed the rotary knob, which reset the clock - annoying! I'm also disappointed that the light is a filament bulb - why not LED lighting? I know the power use won't be high but it's not customer replaceable, so when it fails it means a sevice call! There's not much benefit having an easy view door if it's dark inside. All in all not a great start.

Not even 18 months old and the start button has stopped working - rendering the microwave completely useless!!!! We thought our Samsung microwave would be a good investment but now looking at reviews the start button malfunction seems to be a common problem that Samsung has been aware of for a very long time! The call-out and repairs will cost us more than what we bought the microwave for - so really not worth getting repaired or buying a new one if it's going to have the same issue. Just a great way for Samsung to steal money from once very loyal family customers over the years who will now steer clear from Samsung appliances as this is not the first issue we've had in the past year. Disappointed with products and service - wouldn't recommend.

One piece of advice to start. Measure the space you intend to use. It's a big beast, not huge but be careful. Great features hot blast air frying and the clock display and bleeping can be switched off. Sounds trivial but it is very surprising just how bright it is overnight. I purchased model MC28M6055CK/EU which has the same functions and looks the same. 3 months after purchasing it the Start button wouldn't work unless the Sop button next to it was pressed first! A few months later the digital display started occasionally not showing the numbers correctly i.e. instead of 8 you see 0, and instead of 6 it displays 5 or a character doesn't look like a number at all! Yesterday ALL buttons, except Start button, stopped working i.e. you press them and nothing happens! the only way now to stop the microwave is by opening its door! I chatted with samsung customer service and they reminded me microwaves come with only 1 year warranty and if I'm referred to an engineer at samsung repair centre I will have to pay for its repair. I really think you should avoid this particular product. I only use this microwave moderately and it shuld've been working properly for a few years at least, but it doesn't!

Looks great and when it worked it worked great. The problem is that from about six months after I got it it began playing up. The digital numerals would fade or go out completely and a diamond would continuously flash and the buttons wouldn't work. Some of the buttons would return but the start button would not allow me to operate the device. After a few hours or a day it would return to normal in every way. This was a problem that returned intermittently for the duration of the products life. As I barely use it I just persisted with it but after a couple of years it has failed completely. I paid the full price of it from Argos and am very disappointed with the product. I have other Samsung products that work great and look fantastic. This looks great and when it worked it was great and it looks brand new but the replacement circuit board and its fitting will cost me over half the price of a new machine. Panasonic seems to be a better recomendation so I will try one of those next I think. Oh yes and the door lock button did not work from day 1.

These microwaves are poor performance, I expected it at least to last a good few years. Samsung, you need to recall all microwaves that have developed the same issues with the control panel failing for no apparent reason. Does it not seem strange that the whole control panel feels like its breaking down, we can't use any functions and are now unable to get any resolution from Samsung. Seen a few reviews that seem to be absolutely the same as ours. Not even using it now so the microwave that we planned to use the microwave instead and get rid of the gas cooker I wouldn't recommend this microwave to anyone. we've had it just 2 years and it's clearly not fit for purpose. Anyone who has this model MC28M6055CK, if you've lost digits on the time display, wobbley non functioning buttons, we've just turned it off as I'm concerned for our safety. If anyone has this same problem get it sent to to be checked, if you have the 3 year warranty.

As a Samsung customer for tv & phones etc. I am very very disappointed with this combi oven. The amount of buttons and dials required to cook one item is beyond a joke. Not user friendly at all. I wasted so many rolls and potatoes and quiche in the short time I owned it before reverting to my good old favourite Panasonic. It weighs a ton and the oven space is disappointing. Never again!!

Like almost everybody else has said, the buttons worked intermittently. Sometimes the microwave would work, but not always. Now it won't work at all. Oven is less than two years old. Total waste of money. Will not be buying Samsung again and I am about to go on to Facebook to try to prevent other customers from wasting their money.

Samsung. I have done my research (and it's part of my job, so I'm quite good at it) and I can't believe you are still selling or supplying the MC28M6055** (stars in the model name, because, let's face it, the whole line's faulty). My retired dad spent a LOT of money on two of these useless spark-buckets - one for him to help cook meals for my very poorly mother, and one for me, as a present. He saved up for this... For both microwaves to break down completely with identical faults within days of each other (both 3 days out of the 12-month guarantee!)... well, a more sceptical person would assume the fault is programmed in by greed-driven corporate evilness, but that would be silly. All you need to do is contact the suppliers and manufacturers with valid receipts and everything will be replaced or refunded, right? Wrong. After extensive searches and contacting other unfortunate buyers, I have quite the portfolio to prove that this did not just miraculously affect our 2 microwaves... this has been an ongoing problem since at least 2019, same problems, same timeframes (just out of guarantee) and same disappointing response (or lack of) from you, Samsung. In your shoes, I would very much want to provide some sort of compensation for this racket, before it goes viral and crumbles the edge of your cookie.

Unfortunately we've had the same issue as others - had our microwave for nearly two years but about two months ago the clock light started going, and now the start button doesn't work at all. Therefore we also have to replace our microwave now. Very annoying and wasteful on many fronts. (Side point - the beep that constantly reminds you you've left something in the microwave is super annoying. It can be turned off but that feature stopped working ages ago so we've had to put up with the nagging beep every few mins if you don't remove the food immediately!)

So, this microwave, like seemly everyone else's, has broken down and failed within a relatively short time (a little over 2 years for me) I get it's not in warranty anymore, but I'm used to appliances like this lasting for 15+ years. The fault is the same fault as everyone else's - the start button (and several other buttons) don't work anymore, so even though the machine is mechanically perfectly functional, it is completely useless as it won't turn on. It's a massive pile of e-waste. Although I clearly wouldn't recommend an untrained/unskilled person taking a microwave apart, I am a skilled professional so can do so safely. On removing the control board of this microwave, I found that the control board itself has a date code of 2014, so they have been using the same faulty/unreliable design for nearly 10 years now and are still selling microwaves that use it. My unit's control board had it's eeprom write headers soldered on, and a new part number stamped on top of an old one, which implies it was either originally intended for a different product, or it's a reflash of an old faulty board. Given this, and the very poor condition of the PCB traces on this board, it's my belief that this board was a salvaged control board from a failed/broken microwave, possibly from a different model that a samsung engineer has reprogrammed to use in my microwave. This model, at the current price of £129 would be an excellent purchase, but don't be fooled by their offer of a 3 year warranty, there is a fair chance you will need to use that warranty, and when you do, you will at best just delay the inevitable. just search ebay for used examples of this product, most of them cite intermittent start button issues

Biggest piece of rubbish we have ever owned. Just over a year of ownership the buttons started to become temperamental and now none of them work and when we bought these were like £350. We have now bought another Panasonic from John Lewis for £90 with grill as our previous one lasted 15 years and from JL and you get extra warranty for free.

Had to give 1 but it needs to be none Absolutely loved my 1st Samsung microwave but it broke just out of warranty. Replaced it with a newer model. That broke under 2 old but in warranty. Had it repaired and now the same fault again in less than 2 years and it’s now out of warranty again. It’s a joke when Samsung know there’s a common fault. Start button stopped working then a few more buttons. It can only be used as a clock now. Very frustrating! All my appliances are Samsung. I will not be buying any again !

This is a replacement for a microwave I had for ten years (different make). Although I would of preferred a flat bed instead of a turntable I am extremely happy with this. I haven't as yet used all the features on this, and it is 900w instead of 100w I found that things cook a lot quicker so now reduce the cooking time between 5 - 10 mins, especially when using the hot blast. Chicken is lovely and moist when using this , a very good feature . All in all so far very satisfied with this machine.

after a couple of weeks use it seems to be quieter and performs better than a similar model that we had before. If it continues in this way it will be a far better quality machine. We were disappointed with our last Samsung machine both from a performance point of view and that it had to be replaced much earlier than our original Samsung which had stood the test of time for many years. Only negative - the oven max temp is not as high as the first that got us using Samsung in the first place.

Bought following a lot of research and were comfortable that it would provide the facilities we required and, having used it for a few weeks, I can confirm it does. The only difficulty we've experienced is with the manual which, while extensive, it is not the easiest to fathom the settings and presets necessary for anything not described. Perhaps experimentation will provide an eventual solution but a guide for cooking a range of popular items would have been so easy for Samsung to include.

After reading tonnes of reviews of combination microwaves, we decided to spend a little bit more than some of the cheap ones and we definitely don't regret it! The oven heats up amazingly quickly. The slim-fry function makes brilliant chips. It can be a little loud when using the oven setting as the fan turns, but no louder than a normal oven. Comes with all the features to make all of the settings useful as well (Two racks, crisping plate). It also looks very sleek on the kitchen counter.

The handbook is poor. There are lots of codes for cooking various foods but no explanation of them ie what is H4? How much microwave power, hot blast, grill and overall time. Often there are two weight ranges given but no difference in cooking times offered. For a single person, cooking relatively small quantities, The programmes are generally too long, hot or whatever. I have, however successfully baked a loaf of bread, most of which was edible. Takes experience but worthwhile.

The title is not 100% true, the clock still functions correctly but if your on the look out for a countertop digital clock smaller products are available. Until yesterday this microwave had been used daily to warm up milk in the morning for my children's cereal, weekly for jacket potatoes and occasionally for cooking soup. In my opinion very moderate use. The unit looks brand new. Shortly after the first year of owning, we found out that the grill function didn't work. Button just did nothing. After maybe 2 years of owning we couldn't start the microwave if the timer was set to anything 10 minutes or above. For 3 jacket potatoes we had to start it at 9:30 and then turn knob to increase it to 11:30. Now the microwave wont start at all. My educated guess is that its an issue with the main computer module and these are priced at around 80% of a new microwave. I'd imagine engineer costs would put it up beyond the cost of a new unit. I had a similar issue with my Samsung washing machine so I think they have some learning to do. After looking at reviews of the current model I can see other people are having the same issue. With only 1 years warranty these are really not worth the cost or the hassle.

I have had three combi-microwave ovens before from other manufacturers. They all had a simple program for jacket potatoes, this one does not appear to have such a setting/program which is in my opinion a mistake as everyone I have spoken to has said that apart from just the microwave function the jacket potato program is the one they use most. If there is something I am missing feel free to put me right, apart from this error in thinking it is a good machine.

After a quick flick through the instruction manual I found this oven a delight. I like that it switches off at the end of a cooking cycle. No chance of me burning my dinners now. The only minor letdown is the cooking tray that came with it. When it gets hot it curls and causes all the juices to run and almost spill over it's shallow edge. So I plan to buy a deeper stronger replacement. But, overall I am pleased with this purchase and it's worthy of 5 stars.

My only criticism is that the casing gets hot when using oven/combi (not in when in microwave mode). Maybe all combis do this, I don't know, but just thought it worth mentioning. Otherwise, great. Looks good; lots of cooking features; love the crusty plate for " healthy fry" mode; good price. I like the fact that the buttons and dial simply give mode selection and time/power selection, rather than having a load of buttons covering each type of food.

I am really impressed with this and use it every day the reason I deducted 1 star is the slim fry feature has never been used as it’s complicated programs I really need to speak to the experts and learn how to use it as the instructions are ok not easy to use like it should say 1 chicken steak takes x amount of time instead it’s all weights who had time to weigh food would be easier if you could select level and time but u can’t.
