I'm getting very frustrated with this phone as every time I close the phone, it goes opens up something random e.g. starts replying to an email or opens up google maps in Iceland. When taking photos, I've had no end of video clips from the inside of my pocket! I've googled for solutions but nothing has worked. I miss my A51.

After six weeks of back-and-forth with Samsung regarding my Galaxy A35, I am extremely disappointed with how this case was handled.
The device developed the same display fault for the third time a blue ink spot spreading across the screen until most of the display became black. Despite this being a repeated issue on the same handset and after multiple previous repairs, Samsung repeatedly disputed the matter and the case went through weeks of escalation.
Throughout the process, I was advised that a free-of-charge goodwill repair was being considered and my case remained under internal review for several weeks. The phone was collected, inspected, and I spent a significant amount of time communicating with the warranty team, technical support, and customer escalations.
However, after all of this, Samsung ultimately rejected the repair due to what they described as “frame damage” specifically a very minor cosmetic hairline crack near the charging port and small cosmetic marks on the frame, which had been present while the phone functioned normally beforehand. I do not believe these cosmetic issues caused the repeated internal display failure.
What has been most frustrating is the amount of stress, uncertainty, and conflicting information throughout the process. I received mixed updates from the repair tracker and support teams, waited days at a time without responses, and ultimately spent six weeks disputing a fault that had already occurred multiple times on the same device.
I expected much better customer support and consistency from Samsung, especially considering the repeated nature of the issue and the lengthy escalation process.
We are sorry to see that you are having a number of issues with your A35 and did not receive the service you deserve afterwards, Mara.
Our colleagues will do everything they can to get your phone working to perfection in no time. If our engineers find any issues that voids the warranty, then any repairs done will be chargeable. This is in line with the Terms and Conditions of the warranty agreement. Even if the issue you are having is not connected to the physical damage, your entire phone will be out of warranty.
We do not want our customers to feel stressed during this process, and we'll do everything we can to get everything resolved in a timely manner. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and we'll take this on board to help improve our services in the future.

My reason for buying the phone was that I was going on holiday to see the Northern Lights. I told the EE salesperson that I wanted a phone wit a good camera for my holiday and bought this one. I checked the instructions which instructed me to select NIGHT which I did. I was with a party of people and they were all able to take photos of the lights apart from me even though I could see the spectacle with my naked eye. According to them, I was doing it correctly and they were puzzled. I was bitterly disappointed. Apart from that, the phone works perfectly well, but so did my original one.
We are disappointed to see your A35 has not made a huge impact in your life!
With the exceptional 3 rear cameras, them being the 50MP Wide-angle camera, 5MP Macro camera and the 8MP Ultra-wide camera, we know you can take epic pics even at night. Thanks to Nightography, taking that special picture has never been easier!

Bought this as my S10e got ran over by multiple cars. Shattered on both sides but amazingly it still worked.
Had to connect it to a TV via a usb-c to hdmi hub adapter to get all my precious data off it.
Anyway, this phone is bigger than my S10e (I do prefer phoolnes on the smaller side tbh) but I can't complain. Great for watching videos. 5G, so will last me for many years to come.
Can't say much on its gaming capabilities as I don't play mobile games besides the Microsoft ones, Solitaire, Mahjong etc.
Screen is great, sound is better than my last phone.
Overall, despite it being a bit on the big side, I'm very happy with my purchase :)
Overall the phone is good. It feels good in hand. However, the software is glitchy and lags sometimes during multitasking. Battery is weak for the performance and generally a charge of 80% lasts a day.

Unhappy with the length of time the phone takes to charge. The swipe on the screen is hit and miss. I have lost a few calls as the swipe would not work to connect to the caller, so I had to call them back. And also the swipe to unlock the screen doesn't always work. The finger print unlock option also again is hit and miss, you have to get the exact same part of the finger in the exact same finger position, or it doesn't unlock the screen. Finally, disappointed you don't get a USB charging cable with the phone as you are more likely to use a normal electric socket or USB port to charge your phone. At this price, you shouldn't have to buy accessories just to charge your phone up.

Samsung galaxy a35 5g is an affordable and excellent phone. I have been using it for over 6 months now and Im completely satisfied. I travelled 8 countries and over 14 cities as a tourist during this time and I have this phone and an iPhone 17 promax. Only the camera of iPhone is better than this Samsung when you use as medium expert level. A35 screen resolution nice and soothing. Durability excellent, I dropped this phone at least 5 times but there is no sracth not a single one. Even Without cleaning it still looks shining. Only one thing I couldnt find its eSim compatibility all though its says in Google. There is no option of eSim i found in this mobile.

A couple of weeks in from buying, I'm noticing that I can read the screen in daylight and the speed of the processor for carrying out tasks, responsive. I thought a cheaper phone is just as good, but it's not. Not until you get hold of a better phone do you notice all this. More menus to set the phone as you want it. The sound quality much better, deeper tones. And now i can take advantage of the 5G speed.All in all I should of purchased this earlier and with a £100 off even better.

It must all my whatsapp communication and Hotmail correspondence when using the recommended by Samsung 'Smartswitch' app which promised to transfer easily all of your information and apps from your old device. Two days later the phone was hacked and I was sent threatening messages. I got my wife the same phone for Christmas and she will not use it after knowing of my terrible experience.
''Disappointed with the battery life. Sure, it charges very quickly but, I find it doesn't last. Nothing like advertised anyway. The raised part of the case on the side is driving me nuts! It is exactly where the on/off switch was on my previous Samsung so, every time you have to navigate away from it to get to the button above. On the plus side, the camera is ok, as is the screen.

It's a good phone that serves its purpose, but I definitely prefer my old Google pixel 6. It's often very glitchy, the cameras not as good as on my old phone, and sometimes when I take it out my pocket after a short while I'll have had about 20 failed fingerprint/password inputs, temporarily locking me out. I've been through settings to try to customise some of the settings but it's not done much. It's possible these are solvable issues/not the phones fault, but it would be good if the automated settings reduced these things.

So far I have found that it has been working fast, somtimes taking a bit longer to open some apps but it's not much of a problem. I have the found that the battery is running out a bit quicker than usual, which I deleted some apps to try and sort it out. Overall the phone is good and is what I expected.

I am thrilled with my new phone. There is one small issue that I find a bit awkward. It's having to turn my phone off using the on/off button along with the volume down button the same time. I had to go into the store to find out how to turn it off. Everything great.
I love my new phone, the camera is really good, the battery seems to run down quickly though which I didn't expect. The connectivity is a bit hit and miss depending on where I am, but overall I'm really pleased. The screen is clear and easy to navigate.
The phone is great, I haven't used the cameras a great deal, but the battery life and data speeds are impressive. The screen is a good size to watch basic programs on (I didn't want a huge phone) and the music playback, speaker is very clear.

It's far better than the old one as the screen had an interference. And couldn't get it put right when I asked Tesco's mobile. They said I had to return it to you, which I find ridiculous as I need it each day, especially banking and emails.
The battery life is not very impressive. I have to charge it daily and even then, it can drain in less than a day. I had a different make previously and I wish I had stuck with it. The predictive text is really poor.

Not as expected but Samsung always good , I didn't realise it was an older phone my mistake , it is OK but a few actions need to improve if still making this modeli.
Cellular connection shocking. Often cannot make or receive calls without WiFi connection.

Good camera and battery life, uncertain if it automatically switches between WiFi and 5g , have to manually turn off WiFi to get a mobile signal ?

I love my galaxy A35 5G! I managed to get quite a few years out of my old Galaxy S9 which made my decision to get another Galaxy so easy. What I like is that you haven't changed the operating system so it was easy to get my head around it, it's a lot faster than I was expecting, camera is brilliant and using it as the screen for my drone, charging time is impressive, the only one thing I'm a bit disappointed with is that I can't pair my Samsung Gear S3 Frontier with it because the watch is an older model and I can't afford to get a newer watch leaving the S3 unusable
It is wonderful to know that you think the Galaxy A35 is an awesome phone overall, and a great upgrade from your previous Galaxy S9!

My 'old' phone was a Samsung Galaxy J4+ and I was very happy with it. My daughter's last upgrade was to an A22 which she loves so I knew that the A35 would be a great next phone. The phone itself is so fast to respond, the screen is clear, the case colour selections are gorgeous and it's extremely comfortable to hold even though it's probably larger than older models. I also read a review that said the A35 is more comfortable than the A55, good to know.

An absolutely incredible piece of kit, this isn't just a phone, this is an all singing, all dancing bleeding edge device that's got the potential to seamlessly connect you to the repository of all human knowledge, whether your using txt, voice or visual forms of communication. It's connectivity married up with its performance knocks your socks off and it's becoming clearer that the only weakness this device has is me :-) I've dropped this a few times already and its still going strong so it certainly ticks the durability box. The camera is incredible, and combined with AI and video modes makes it mind boggling. The only functions its missing are a phaser and tricorder :-) and on that note I'd better beam back up to the enterprise

During the set up process, the phone will have asked you if you would like to set up a PIN, password, or pattern to use as a backup for the fingerprint unlock. Spotted the A35 in Carphone Warehouse. They had a £100 off offer on so had a price tag of £239. It ticked all the boxes except it did not have wireless charging. It was slightly larger than I was used to. I saw you can get wireless charging devices to connect to phone but I opted for a magnetic cable to connect to phone to save plugging and unplugging all the time. Battery life is good. I set phone to only charge to 80% to save the battery and at the end of the day I still have over 40% left. I am not a heavy user. I just love this phone.

I love my samsung A35
It looks so stylish in ice blue and the screen display is awesome
Transferring my data from my old phone was quick and simple
I notice the faster app response time from my A32 and tge higher internal storage I really needed
The camera is excellent with good choices from the 3 lenses I've taken beautiful portraits and super videos
The sound too is really good
Gemini is installed and I'm slowly getting used to talking to my Ai assistant
I'm actually excited by my new A35 and there is so much more to find out about its capabilities

This phone was brilliant until the latest hideous system upgrade. The new graphics are ugly and and a numerous unnecessary ' improvements' nean thus will almost certainly be my last Samsung phone.

Trying to get use to it. Just the one thing .it keeps on loosing wifi to get it back . I reset and it comes back on .is that the way it works

Very happy with the A35. Performs well, the usual excellent Samsung software and support and it looks and feels stunning at this price.
I do not like the fiddly way in which the device has to be switched off by trying to press 2 buttons simultaneously as it doesn't always work. Likewise what is the point of having to enter your pin when shutting down? Obviously you have to use the pin for access but to switch seems a daft idea. Also even with the volume at maximum it is difficult to hear some callers so have to use the speaker.
It's a great phone. It charges fast and battery life is excellent. The screen is bright and very responsive, even with a screen protector on. The processor is also very fast so no lag from the touchscreen and boots fast after shutdown. The camera produces clear photos. It handles calls perfectly. I thought my old Galaxy A14 was good but this A35 is a cut above. I recommend it highly.

I love my new Galaxy A35 - it's my best buddy and its performance is exemplary! It has everything my old mobile had and more. I deliberately chose a phone similar to my old Samsung A70 as being a senior, I didn't want to have to relearn procedures. I use it all the time, while watching TV mostly, so its just as well it doesn't have to be recharged till the end of the day. Display is clear, camera is excellent and my favourites are googling words I need,YouTube, google maps (as I have no sense of direction) emails and WhatsApp.

I've had my Galaxy A35 for less than 2 months now and the screen cracked today while it was in my pocket. I've a screen protector on my phone and a silicon phone cover and now the display is completely blank, displaying nothing so I can no longer access any apps etc on my phone. I'm very disappointed! The screen is obviously very poor quality!

The Samsung Galaxy A35 is a nice phone, but it didn't come with a plug and trying to find a USB C to USB C plug has proved to be a bit of a nightmare. I've found one for a number of phones including the Samsung Galaxy A35, but it's not an official Samsung charger.
I think all phones should should come with plugs, whether your buying them outright or getting them on contracts.
There's also no headphone jack, which is also annoying.
However the size of the screen is rather good and the sound from the speakers is amazing.

Cannot add another email to my gmail. I have 2 different email addresses which are fine on my laptop, one is accessible through the gmail account on my phone , but I cannot add the other one that I really need to access by phone.
I have tried the advice offered by some you tube tutorials without success?
Any further advice please.
An Android user for yonks, I got used to this phone very quicky, and pretty much had the same layout on it as I did on my 7 year old Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact via Microsoft Launcher in a matter of minutes. Also the Samsung app Smart Switch to transfer info from the old phone was excellent. Once set up, the A35 is a phenomenal phone. Gorgeous screen, great build quality, with quality glass front and back. 256GB is a dream after my old phone's 32GB, plus it has double the ram at 8GB. It multitasks with aplomb. The camera is phenomenal, with a wealth of tweaks and features, including a massive 50MP settings. As to cable only charging, it seems plenty fast to me with a 17W charger, and after a couple of days' use the battery life looks very promising. I also love the option to limit charging to 80%. Great 5G coverage, solid Bluetooth even on listening to Galaxy FE buds in town amongst a multitude of other Bluetooth users. A very happy camper with this purchase.

Nothing positive to say. The phone is rubbish. I had to go back to my old phone after 4 days. The hands free in the car doesn't work, 365/ Outlook doesn't work, passwords are not retained, texts are not sent, my bank app doesn't work. I now have a phone I need to get rid of....but who would want to buy it when it doesn't work.

I got this on discout. Very nice marbly blue-white colour. Most importantly this phone is very fast, good specs. Battery very comforably lasts a day if starting on full charge. Only drawbacks that it does not have fingerprint that my older phone had, it has facial rec. but this is inferior to FP. Also no headphone socket although can use a USB adapter for it. Lastly Samsung insisit on bundling all their home made apps onto the phone which tend to be a bit inferior to Googles apps so is a bit annoying. So overall 4/5.
I recently purchased this A35 as a replacement fir my 7 year old A7 which I have been very happy with until recently when it has started giving me issues with the battery life. But I can't fault the 7 year it gave me and hope this A35 performs as well. The overall size is fractionally larger but the viewing area is much bigger so actually feels like a much larger phone. It feels a robust phone however I have used a case for protection. All in all so far very pleased with this phone and would reccomend
Perfect size, perfect shape, everything just works smoothly. I had my previous phone the A71 for two years, I didn't imagine how amazing a new phone, the A35 5 G would be, technology has moved on so much, I was surprised. I would recommend highly and the camera is brilliant, although it's only 50 megapixels, it's better than my 60 megapixels A71 camera, that's puzzling. I also got a good deal at Carephone Warehouse £19.99 for unlimited date and unlimited everything else and free Samsung pro pods 2.
The colour is pretty that's all I can say, the phone is slow, it has massive typing delay. Slow opening up Internet tabs and videos. I was told this phone had great spec but my Huwai was quicker. Camera quality is rubbish. Regret thr purchase

Snappy performance, great pictures, vibrant screen, tons of storage plus up to 1TB micro sd card. 5G works well, plus solid Bluetooth performance. Fingerprint sensor very responsive. Premium looks make it look much more expensive than it is.
