Just purchased a Z Fold 8 and at this moment am very disappointed, it was purchased for my wife to celebrate our 64 years married and it doesn't even tell us how to turn it on. All we are told is how to install a sim card, but not how to find any information how to use it, we both own Samsung phones now so we are not complete novices. It appears these days that it is assumed that everyone should know.

There is so much good about this phone, it's size is perfect. It makes the perfect e-reader. It's fast, playing games on it is fantastic. It is a great multi-tasker and the screen quality is brilliant. Now the bad. My volume up button is stuck and the staff in the Samsung shop looked at me like I throw my phone about. I don't I've even bought a hundred pounds case for the thing. The button is very stiff and instead of warranty they claimed I should have insurance. I've not dropped the phone once. The camera is poor, not good, not average, it's pretty poor. Unless the subject is in perfect light it will come off as grainy. Selfies were a lot better on my old flip phone and much easier to take. The phone is good but I can't give it the 4* it deserves considering the volume up button is a bit stiff. Samsungs customer service on the other hand has been poor across the board. As a constant customer I've been disappointed.

The aspect ratio makes this device perfect for immersing yourself in a good book or film, and the Snapdragon processor ensures that you receive lightening fast operation no matter what you are doing. You can multitask to perfection on the vast 7.6" inner Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, which also boasts incredible resolution! It's a shame to see that your volume button is stuck. Though we make our devices and cases as robust as possible, we can't guarantee that they will remain damage free in all scenarios, we're afraid. Physical damage does void the warranty, and if your device is determined to be out of warranty, all repairs are chargeable. I've been intrigued with this form factor since the rumours started and I must say it's perfect for me. The phone is wider than almost every other phone out there but a bit shorter, I was wondering what that would mean when popped into a pocket and to my surprise it's actually more comfortable than a taller phone. I hardly notice that it is there, unlike the taller phones I've had (and I've had a lot of phones). I find myself very happy using the front screen for most of my day to day tasks, only unfolding the phone when I want to watch some videos or have side by side apps visible. This smallish phone that can then double in size (I know that's true for all foldable phones) but feels more convenient and natural both folded and open than every other foldable I've owned. And I've owned a lot of flagship foldables. I did want to talk about software, cameras, AI, battery life etc but I've ran out of space. Just know you don't be disappointed with any of it.

Well, this changes everything. Much lighter and thinner than it's great,grandma of the ZFold2; a phone I loved and my first folding phone. The Z Fold 8 will get at least seven major upgrades and so it should being a flagship entity. The first thing that hits you is the size. Suggestive of a passport, it fits easily into a pocket; 9.7mm when folded. It is considerably thinner that what I had. It is 4.5mm when unfolded. When opened it is roughly the size of a well-known e-reader. The screen has significantly less glare and razor sharp resolution of 1828x2448 and featuring an AMOLED 2X display. The camera features two 50 Megapixel cameras on the rear of unit plus two additional cameras; one on the cover screen and the other on the main. Sadly, there is no telephoto lens. Using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, I find blazing fast and able to cope with most tasks that I do. There's one thing I really wish to see the return of; the S Pen! That would really complete the user experience

I really loved my Flip 3, and then I got the S24 Ultra, which had an amazing camera and was a great all-around phone, though a bit big for my pocket. Now I'm on the Fold 8, and I'm super impressed with how it folds and its slim compact size, and also Samsung does the BEST trade-in deals. The screen and battery are awesome. But, I'm really let down about the camera. For this price, I expected a telephoto lens or better optical zoom. When I tried to zoom in about 15 meters, the quality was pretty bad. Samsung team, you could've made it perfect by adding another camera or better optical sensor, making it a truly outstanding product. It's a real letdown, I feel like I have a camera from 2 years ago.

Le format passeport, j'adore. Écran externe excellent. L'écran interne est bon, mais j'ai l'impression quelquefois que les images sont très légèrement floues quand je regarde les matchs de foot. Le logiciel est performant , dans l'ensemble le smartphone est excellent. L'écran externe à 5,5" et l'écran principal à 7,6" concordent parfaitement.

Parfait, à 2 détails près. Il est tout simplement ce qu'on attendait d'un smartphone pliable. Un petit téléphone avec un excellent format, un excellent écran et une petite tablette quasi parfaite pour les vidéos, les jeux et surfer sur Internet. Il est fin, léger, la batterie tient bien plus qu'une journée, mode ouvert ou fermé, c'est nickel. Si je devais réellement lui reprocher quelque chose, ça serait le manque d'une caméra avec un téléobjectif et le fait qu'avec les caméras orientées ainsi, il est inutilisable à plat sur un bureau ou une table, à cause des objectifs qui ressortent beaucoup trop du téléphone. S'ils étaient placés dans l'autre sens, le sens de la largeur, au moins le téléphone serait stable mais là, c'est pénible. Et une dernière chose, la caméra selfie sur l'écran intérieur, il faut que Samsung la mette sous l'écran, ce n'est pas grave qu'elle ne soit pas de bonne qualité, elle ne sert de toute façon pas à grand chose... Sinon je suis ravi de ce téléphone et je le recommande à ceux qui n'ont jamais eu de smartphone pliable et même à ceux qui en ont déjà eu...le format est une pépite!

So far this phone has been pretty good. I love the form factor a lot. What stops me from giving this phone 5 stars, the reception and the camera. For the money we pay for the phone we could get a better camera system with better zoom. I also have a fold 8 ultra for work. Everywhere the fold 8 ultra gets okay reception, the fold 8 gets terrible reception. Hopefully these things will get upgraded in the next fold.

I've had this phone for over a month already and so far is great. performance has been good, no lagging whatsoever. Front screen size is perfect for me since I have small hands. I would even consider a phone this size without the fold feature. The inside screen is sharp and it feels like a mini tablet. Great for multitasking, gaming or watching videos. Battery has been excellent so far. I usually charge my phone every day and half when I don't watch too many videos or play games. The things to improve include the front and foldable screens cameras. The inside screen gets dirty very easily, so I have to constantly clean it. Crease can definitely improve if we compare with the competitors. The speakers also could use some improvements, sounds feel very flat. Call quality has been very low. Unless I'm using my galaxy buds, the volume is low even if set at the highest setting and the quality of the call is not sharp at all. This phone has the potential to become the best phone on the market, and for the price we all pay the things to improve mentioned above shouldn't increase the price. Overall, I'm very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a foldable phone.

Format convainquant et très agrable à l'usage ouvert ou fermé, en tout cas moi ca me plait bien. Finesse excellente j'adore les téléphone fin. Un peu deçu par la partie appareil pas terrible du tout dès qu'on veut zoomer un sujet (auqarel effect), je suis ok il faut faire des concessions du à l'épaisseur mais bon ... C'est un tres bon smartphone pour la consommation de contenus mais pas du tout pour photo et video (et ca me va perso) Sinon le prix quand même il faut en parler trop cher, vraiment comparé à un S26+

Ce nouveau format passeport est tout simplement génial, cela change la vie dans l'utilisation de tous les jours. Plus pratique, plus petit, tient dans une poche, très costaud. Et le format double écran est tout simplement la panacée pour lire ou travailler. L'autonomie est top, plus d'une journée et demi sans le recharger sachant que je suis gros consommateurs de Web, mail et Youtube.

Je suis vraiment ravi de mon choix après avoir fait l'acquisition de cet appareil pliable. La transition depuis mon ancien téléphone s'est faite très naturellement. Je ne regrette absolument pas d'avoir vendu mon iPhone 17 pour le Galaxy Z Fold 8. L'expérience utilisateur est exceptionnelle au quotidien grâce à la qualité de l'écran, les différentes fonctions proposées. GALAXY IA par exemple, je trouve que c'est un banger ! Je m'en sers au quotidien. Concernant l'appareil photo, ce n’est pas la catastrophe comme l'annonce les influenceurs ou certains journalistes. N'hésitez pas à l'essayer en magasin, vous pourrez vous rendre compte si ce modèle et ce format est fait pour vous. Côté batterie, je tiens 1.5 jours c’est juste incroyable ! One IU est très réactif et fluide. C'est un appareil très performant qui répond parfaitement à toutes mes attentes.

Enfin un vrai changement dans le monde du smartphone. 10 ans de monotonie avec des écrans toujours plus grands, des capteurs photos toujours meilleurs, des batteries permettant plus d'autonomie mais aucun bouleversement, juste la course au mieux. Alors oui, les folds existent depuis 2019 mais les retours que j'en avais relevaient de la curiosité et du gadget (et surtout à un prix qui lui ne relevait pas du gadget). Là, le format change vraiment la donne. On a un téléphone compact qui a un petit côté rétro et dont le format même replié permet de lire confortablement grâce à des lignes plus larges. Cela oblige cependant à écrire à deux mains mais ça ne m'a pas dérangé, c'était déjà le cas pour moi. Peut-être que pour d'autres, ce sera plus embêtant. En l'ouvrant, on obtient une petite tablette, format que je trouve difficile à trouver avec des performances convenables. Bref, je trouve le téléphone très bien. Maintenant, il y a quand même des points négatifs.... Je viens d'un Galaxy S25 Ultra et la partie caméra à côté paraît vraiment bof.... Pour pas dire limite en voyant le prix. Les photos de jour sont convenables. Mais alors, les photos de nuit nous donnent l'impression de faire un bon de 5 ans en arrière, et pas dans le bon sens du terme. Je trouve aussi la charnière un peu dure à ouvrir et ai toujours peur de l'echapper quand je l'ouvre. De très bonnes fonctions logicielles existent mais elles se trouvent dans good lock et il faut le savoir. Le capteur d'empreinte sur le côté me faisait un peu peur mais est en fait extrêmement réactif. Certains critiquent le son des haut parleurs, mais par rapport à la finesse du telephone, je trouve ça audible et suffisant pour mon usage (podcasts, videos, musique de fond). Bref, mon bilan global est très bon avec une petite note d'amertume sur la photo quand même.

wow it has defentnitly better than the other brand a.It has smooth scrolling the the bend crease isnt even visible i 100% recommend it last a long time too really strong and it doesnt die quick unlike other brands.the 120 hertz make it better and really good battery and hinge
Samsung nailed it on the size and shape. I find both inner and outer screens very convenient. Battery life is fantastic and the chips these days are way overkill for daily tasks but appreciated. Samsung needs up up the ip rating though as other foldables have ip68 ratings.
I hadn't realized the change in the name and accidentally ordered the 8 instead of the 8 ultra. I previously owned a fold 6 so I decided to trade it in for an upgrade (biggest mistake and a different story). Back to this phone. I ABSOLUTELY HATED IT! The width is uncomfortable when holding it in the closed position. The batter drains far faster than the last series. The display quality was good but it seemed to lag and become unresponsive which caused me to have to close out. I'm not sure about durability because after a week or so I decided to return it. Which started the mess I'm in now. And yes I'm still waiting on a resolution since 8/28 and today is 9/10.

Ancien propriétaire d'un Z Flip7 dont le format me plaisait énormément, à l'utilisation, il y avait finalement peut d'intérêt à l’écran externe. C'est pour cela que je me suis laissé tenter par le Fold8, et je ne regrette pas du tout. Le format est incroyable, l'écran externe permet de faire la majorité des tâches classiques et dès que l'on souhaite se divertir (vidéo, lecture, jeu etc), le format déplié est absolument bluffant. Je trouve la finition globale du téléphone très bonne et les performances correspondent parfaitement à mon utilisation.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Une très belle surprise après plusieurs semaines! J’ai précommandé le Galaxy Z Fold8 et cela fait maintenant environ deux semaines que je l’utilise au quotidien. Et franchement, je suis agréablement surpris ! Ce que j’apprécie énormément, c’est son format. Il est léger et compact lorsqu’il est plié, mais dès que j’en ai besoin, il se transforme en un grand écran. Pour les notifications, les appels ou répondre rapidement à un message, je le garde fermé. Et lorsque j’ai besoin de plus d’espace, je le déplie et j’ai quasiment une tablette entre les mains. Pour la productivité, c’est vraiment un plaisir. Dans mon utilisation professionnelle, notamment pour gérer mes mails, le multitâche est particulièrement pratique. Pouvoir avoir plusieurs applications ouvertes et passer facilement de l’une à l’autre me fait gagner du temps au quotidien. Pour les loisirs, c’est également une réussite. Les jeux sont vraiment agréables sur le grand écran et la navigation sur les réseaux sociaux en mode déplié est très confortable. Autre bonne surprise : l’autonomie. Je m’attendais à devoir être plus souvent à proximité d’un chargeur, mais pour mon utilisation quotidienne, elle me satisfait pleinement. Et concernant la fameuse pliure au centre de l’écran : de face, elle est tellement discrète qu’on finit presque par ne plus la remarquer. Après quelques jours, je n’y fais quasiment plus attention. Bien sûr, il y a quelques points que j’aimerais voir évoluer. L’appareil photo représente forcément un changement lorsqu’on vient d’un Galaxy S24 Ultra. Il est moins impressionnant que celui de mon S24 Ultra, mais pour mon utilisation quotidienne, il fait tout de même très bien le travail. La caméra avant peut également être un peu gênante selon le contenu affiché, notamment à cause du petit rond noir. J’aurais aussi vraiment apprécié la possibilité d’utiliser un stylet. Pour un appareil aussi orienté productivité, cela aurait été un vrai plus pour aller encore plus loin. Enfin, certaines applications et certains jeux ne sont pas encore parfaitement adaptés à ce nouveau format. J’espère que de futures mises à jour permettront d'améliorer encore cette expérience. En mode portrait, côté écran extérieur vers le haut (afin d'éviter d'avoir les mains constamment dessus) petite gêne car les boutons volumes ou le capteur d'emprunt est vers le bas, donc pas pratiqué (sur mon utilisation personnelle 😉) Mon bilan Après plusieurs semaines, je suis vraiment satisfait de mon choix. Ce que j’aime particulièrement avec le Z Fold8, c’est cette capacité à s’adapter à l’utilisation que j’en fais : un smartphone compact au quotidien, un grand écran pour travailler, jouer ou regarder du contenu, et presque une tablette lorsque j’en ai besoin. Pour moi, c’est justement cette polyvalence qui fait toute la différence. 👍 Samsung a réussi à me faire apprécier le format pliable beaucoup plus que je ne l’imaginais !

Lack of flex mode is a deal breaker for me. Samsung should have done better job announcing such departure from a design that many customers now expect and rely upon. Camera bump and quality were underwhelming for the price. I had to return.

Love this form factor. You get the best of both worlds with a smaller screen that does everything and the ability to have a small tablet at hand. Both the cover screen and inner screen are vibrant and beautiful. There is the small crease in the center still, but unless you have the right lighting and angle, you'll never even know it's there. The battery is definitely as long lasting as the S26 Ultra I just traded in for it. I have no issue getting through an entire day with a heavy load of screen time. I don't game on it, so I can't comment on that side of battery life. When you open and close it feels so good to have that little snap in both directions. The hinge feels smooth and solid. For as thin and light as this do everything phone is, it's definitely very durable. I'd have to really try to break it for anything major to happen. Though I am still very gental because I like to keep my devices as pristine as possible. It's a powerful little guy with plenty of performance for the every day tasks. If you've been waiting for your first foldable like I was and still are on the fence, I promise you won't be disappointed with this phone, compact and highly functional for anything you choose to do. Yes the cameras are a down grade from the S26 Ultra, but I don't do professional photo or video work, so these are plenty good for the average user.

It's top of the line image generator. I love the graphics , my girls play games and watch videos online 😍 they love the Galaxy Z fold so much . I got each of them one. BEST 👌 money i ever spent !

hello Samson just want to say I love the picture ER response his phone increases so clean and pure when you open you can't tell it's there it feels like I don't never have to charge the battery up half of the time or I have to plug I have to plug it in the display is like watching my 5K television displays wonderful I love the pictures in the brother screen response is wonderful the durability I'm kind of amazed on how well creases on the phone when you open it and close it the crease is wonderful

Déroutant au début vs le format du ZFOLD 7, mais après quelques jours c'est pour moi le meilleur aspect ratio. Depuis les premiers portables pliants de Microsoft (2 écrans) j'attendais avec impatience un fold avec un format passeport. J'utilise plus l'écran externe et lorsque je l'ouvre je ne suis plus obligé de le retourner systématiquement comme avec les autres Fold que j'ai eu.

Le format est vraiment pratique, l'utilisation en simple double écran est sympa. Le durée de la batterie d à peine 2 jours est un point négatif. Là je suis en vacances on verra au travail avec des déplacements... Et l'ouverture du double écran n'est pas toujours facile.

I love the new design form, but videos of most social media apps, like Facebook, Instagram, Ticktock, YouTube, etc, are not formatted to fit the screen of this phone, legs and heads are half seen, regardless if it's titled horizontal or vertical. Samsung needs either to make some software adjustments or get in touch with the developers of the above apps so they can make the necessary changes, specially for the new screen format of this phone. Also it can definitely use larger battery., at least 6000 mAh, another important improvement is to get rid of the camera cutoff whole opening, especially in the inner display, it definitely causes problems.

I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
