How do I use the detergent drawer compartments in my washing machine?
Your washing machine has different compartments for different washing aids (for example detergents, washing powders, bleaches and fabric softeners). Make sure you add the correct type of detergent to the correct compartment when operating the washing machine. There are also several different types of detergent drawer, depending on your washing machine. Read on to find out which compartment to use for different types of washing aid.
Detergent drawer (Type 1)
We do not recommend using tablet or capsule type detergents in the detergent drawer. You can use tablet and capsule detergents in the drum instead.
Detergent drawer (Type II)
We do not recommend using tablet or capsule type detergents in the detergent drawer. You can use tablet and capsule detergents in the drum instead.
Auto-Dispenser (Type I)
Models with an automatic dispenser have three compartments: two compartments for auto dispensing and another part for manual input. If the Auto Detergent and Auto Softener settings are enabled, the washing machine dispenses an appropriate amount of detergent or fabric softener into the drum according to the cycle.
Please note: To use the manual dispenser, make sure the auto dispenser is switched off. Press "Dose per Wash" until the Auto dispense indicators are off.
The refill indicator will light up on the Auto Dispenser section when you need to refill the compartment.
If the auto dispenser indicator is flashing, check that the detergent drawer is closed properly. Open the drawer and close it again. If it is still flashing, you may need to clean the detergent compartment to remove any hardened liquid detergent.
Auto-Dispenser (Type II)
The auto-dispensers in some washing machines can be found inside the door to the drum.
