How do I back up data using my Samsung account?

With your Samsung account, you can back up and restore your data in the same device.

 

You can also synchronise several Samsung devices if you're using the same Samsung account. This feature is very useful when you want to keep the same data for all Samsung devices.

 

Type of data backed up: Phone logs, Messages, Wallpaper, Priority Senders, Spam addresses and filter, Call rejection list.

 

PLEASE NOTE: the types of data you can back up will depend on your device.


Backing up your dataClick to Expand

To back up your data:


Settings > Cloud and accounts > Back up and restore > Back up data


OR


Settings > Accounts (you may need to scroll down for this) > Samsung account > Backup or back up my data (on some devices you may need to choose your email account) > More or Menu (this may appear as three dots) > Sync now


OR


Settings > Samsung account (you may need to scroll down for this) > Device backup > Auto backup > toggle the switch to on > OK

Restoring your dataClick to Expand

To restore your data:


Settings > Cloud and accounts > Back up and Restore > Restore data > Choose information to restore > Restore

Settings > Accounts (you may need to scroll down for this) > Samsung account > Restore > OK

Settings > Samsung account (you may need to scroll down for this) > Device backup > Restore
