How do I move content or apps to the Secure Folder?


The Secure Folder is currently available on Galaxy S7 and S7 edge devices running Android Nougat 7.0, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, and the Galaxy A3 (2017) and Galaxy A5 (2017).

 

It will become available on other compatible devices with operating system updates.

 

Note that you will need to set up and create the Secure Folder before you can use it.

 

To move files such as images:


1. From the home screen, choose Apps

6. Enter your unlock details for your Secure Folder, and the file will be automatically moved to your Secure Folder


To move an app to the Secure Folder:

 

1. Open your Secure Folder

(You can find it by tapping Apps, or if you have hidden it, by tapping Settings>Lock screen and security>Secure folder icon at the bottom of the screen)


2. Choose Add

The below steps will show you how to move documents to your Secure Folder, but you can use the same process to move any file available within My Files.

 

1. Open My Files on your device. You can usually find this by choosing Apps, then the Samsung Folder

2. This will show you all the files you have saved or downloaded to your device. To move a document to your Secure Folder, choose Documents
