In November 2018, I bought this tumbledryer (for a lot of money) for multiple reasons: - the high level was that it looked like it was high quality, had a range of options and it was energy efficient (which would even out price wise over time + be better for the planet). Initially I was very happy with this purchase but in August 2019 (less than a year) I needed a repair, I booked the engineer right away and it was repaired under warranty. Important cliff notes from here: - My warranty ended 3 years after purchase (EoW 2021). - Another tumbledryer issue appeared Jan 2024. - Had to pay a large call out fee. - This time the machine itself had multiple parts broken. The heatpump had fallen down which has impacted the motor and as a knock on effect the blade at the bottom was bust too. - My tumbledryer itself has been kept in good condition over the years. It hasn't got wet or been roughly handled. It has also been maintained regularly filter wise. Infact I still have the stickers on it to keep it as protected as possible. The takeaway: This tumbledryer is not designed well and as a result of the 2024 repair bill for replacing these parts with call out fee.... the total money to fix everything is almost the price of a new tumbledryer (with no gurantee that it wouldn't happen again). To buy a 'top of the range' energy efficient tumbledryer and have it break down 2 times in five years is really really poor. Additionally, I'm now in a position where I have to choose between a big repair bill or a big bill for a new tumbledryer AND have my old machine recycled (which probably means it's going to a landfill somewhere). Avoid. Do not buy. Not made to last.

We do assure that we design all of our products to last for as long as they are needed, but we can understand your frustration that your model has not lived up to this standard. While it would be preferable if our engineers were able to resolve this new issue in the same fashion as the first instance, as the warranty has now expired all repairs would be chargeable. Purchased this for my new house. Close to 3 times the price of the alternative but I was sold the A+++ and gentle on clothes but they don't tell you about the ridiculously long drying times and that it needs constant attention. Getting access to help is also awful as it seems only Samsung themselves dare touch the equipment.

While the dryer is working, its great, apart from clearing the heat unit, which has to be cleaned with the brush supplied with it, that we were not supplied with. However after three years, and three separate repairs (all in the last year and a half) it is now beyond economical repair as it needs a €400 part (it is not heating anymore). It cost €800 three years ago and we have spent about 300 on it in the last year. Seriously doubt I will be buying a Samsung dryer again.

This dryer is great for drying clothes, but when it comes to bedding, it’s a massive fail. Reason is that there’s no reverse tumble (where the drum goes one way for about 30 seconds, then the other way, and so on). Duvets and other bedding therefore ends up in a tight ball, with the outside of the ball dry, and the inside still damp - even after hours of dying. In addition, as the bedding is so tightly balled up, it’s ridiculously creased, meaning it needs much more ironing than when we had our last, much cheaper dryer. Wouldn’t buy one again - only did so this time because the salesman assured us it did reverse tumble - when it didn’t we called out an engineer who told us it was impossible due to the heat pump only working when the drum was going in one direction.

This was the first time we have purchased a heat pump tumble dryer and so far we love it. It cost a little more up front but after doing some research we could see that in time we will save money on bills. This machine works well and the clothes come out perfectly dry, plus the 9kg drum makes all the difference for duvets and larger loads. Some nice features too like the runner drying rack, internal light and the little tune it plays when the load is done!

I bought this and 9 months later, it stopped working. Heat pump had gone. Samsung could not get the part that was needed. Was told they had stopped making it. Ended up having to get a refund - a voucher for store i bought it from - which has sat for 3 months unused as i dont need anything!

It is a fault model, broke after 2 weeks of purchase. Engineer replaced a part (mentioned that he 'd attened similar cases for this model). Broke again after a few weeks. Waited for 4 months for Samsung to arrange for a engineer, replaced the part again. Samsung does not replace this appliance, looks like i may have to get this repaired if this break again (feels like i wasted £650 on a faulty model !!!)

I bought this tumble dryer together with the Samsung washing machine, & I’m so glad I did. I can’t imagine being without them now. I have had many brands over the years, & Samsung is by far the best I have used. My clothes, towels etc come out super fluffy & smell great. My last machine seemed to rob the clothes of the lovely smell my fabric conditioner had put in. I highly recommend this product!

I bought this itefew months ago and only recently started to use it when I couldn’t hang my laundry outside. Disappointingly the machine broke down only after 5 uses. It turns out that the dryer was sold with a defective part that was repaired by Samsung after 5 days of reporting the issue. I have lost confidence with the brand and really hope the machine lasts a few years.

Ok tumble dryer, but find that dying level can not be used on every cycle. Emptying water is not straight forward as you have to shake the container to get all the water out, as it is not designed with a slope to empty all the water collected. The only feature I would recommend that all tumble dryers should have is the double layered lint/fluff catcher

I have recently purchased this samsung dryer after having a really expensive LG dryer which within 2 months of buying had to have the main bearing changed, within a month it was squeaking again, the engineer came again but in the meantime the dryer had stopped working altogether, was sent a replacement but after another few weeks the same issue, so finally bought this samsung dryer, the features are so much better and easier to use, and the performance of the samsung seems so much quicker and all round a much better machine.

I bought this Gas Pump Dryer just before Christmas. it looks fab in my kitchen. The key features are well set out and easy to use. The inserted shelf is a great idea although i have not used it as yet. Pre Set drying times are good but you can do some manual setting also. It is extremely energy efficient also saving you money and more importantly the environment. Would Highly recommend buying.

A truly excellent product overall with fantastic performance and usability. One small gripe - instructions for reversing the door opening takes up five pages in the manual and involves more than 20 screws! Surely this could be simplified a bit...

This never dries clothes acceptably. Even the timed dry does not work. I set it for 1 hour and it stops after 1 minute. So annoying and a huge waste of money. I've had better tumble dries at a 5th of the cost.

Bought this to match the new washing machine. Much improved since my last purchase. Good working load that allows decent family loads to be washed. Limited noise from cycles. I’m impressed.

I have tumble dried a few items that have "do not tumble dry" labels, but all have come out great with no issues. Plus wool items have come out very slightly damp and in great condition.
I recommended this product.

It’s looks fab and is quiet far more than I imagined it would be and has lots of features. It’s easy to use with all types of fabrics. Fluffy, warm and dry end result.

The heat pump works very well and the sensor drying mode cuts the drying time down. Quicker to dry than what was originally thought.

Almost dry after full cycle of cotton drying but not fully. Noisy, would not recommend to set up at night time or before waking up.

I just purchased this model from Currys in the UK, I was sold on the claims of greater savings on the electricity bill, due to the efficient heat pump technology. I was also told the drying cycle would only be increased by 5-15 minutes vs a vented dryer. The claims are rubbish! I had a condenser dryer before this, an Indesit. This was 9kg and could do a full drum load (even sometimes over loaded lol) in under two hours, most loads took around one and a half hours or so. This Samsung takes three! Yes three hours to dry a load, God forbid I try to overload it! So how does using the machine for double the amount of time, at a only slightly lower power consumption compared to the B rated condenser, result in savings or efficiency? My wife dried our sons pyjamas on their own, a top and bottom, on the quick 35 minute mode, came out with a wet patch on the trouser leg! Indicating that the drum had a small amount of water in there, which was absorbed when the cycle stopped and the garments fell to bottom of drum and the water pooled! If the above was not bad enough, the stupid thing starts a song and dance when the water tray is full or the cycle ends... Who though it would be a good idea to have it play a 30 second song to indicate it is done... At least let us choose which annoying song can be used, even better allow us to use our own music uploaded to the appliance via the diagnosis app (since the model clearly has wifi/bluetooth capability if the app can connect to it). My final gripe is the shoe drying rack, the display model had a nice metal rack, exact same model I purchased, but my one is plastic mainly, with a metal frame... False advertising at the minimum. Also there is no where on the machine to store it, given the inside of the machine is mainly space, you would think they had a slot or similar to store it inside of, at a minimum a hook to hang it on the side or back... Now I have a pointless feature that will end up in the loft and not get used, even on the rare occassions that arise that it would become useful...
