At first I was pleased with the washing machine, good capacity, incredibly low noise, lots of programmes. But after a few months I noticed a dreadful amount of mould build up in drawer. I take the drawer out after every wash to dry it and leave it out until next use, plus I use the 'clean programme' every time the machine prompts me to. I contacted Customer Service as the machine was in warranty but they were no help at all. They wanted me to pay for an engineer to clean the machine which I was not willing to do a) because it was in warranty and b) because all they would be able to do would be spray it with mould killer which I can't use as I am not on mains drainage. I am 60 years old and have never had a mouldy washing machine. The fault does not lie with me, but with a poorly designed machine (12kg capacity so long drawer) which you can not reach into to dry adequately. I'm also not pleased with the residue. I've never experienced dirt build up on the door/glass with any other washing machine but this machine always has dirt build up on the door after every wash even after using the clean programme. For an expensive machine it's a huge disappointment.

I bought this last year. Within 6 months needed a new drum, so noisy since the drum was replaced on the spin cycle. Several engineers have serviced it from Samsung. Two drums later and new buffers and the machine is worse than ever. The engineer blames our floor but we have a solid wooden/ tiled floor and have never had any washing machine spin issues until 6 months after we purchased it. Very disappointing service from Samsung. I have a machine that doesn't work properly and is so noisy and doesn't spin properly. I cannot recommend this machine to anyone. Terrible service and warranty that appears to mean nothing!!

Absolutely love this washing machine. I’ve always had Indesit before. So glad I went for Samsung. So quiet compared to any other I’ve had before. Clothes come out smelling lovely. I was a bit concerned about the wash lengths but I can do a full 10.5 load at 40 degrees in 1.5 hours. The automatic dispensing is a great idea and you can adjust amounts of detergent and fabric softener. Looks great too. Bought a heat pump dryer and Samsung stacking kit and I’m extremely please with all of them. May have cost a bit more than I’d normally pay but definitely worth the little extra.😀

Bought this matching in April 2024, 9 months later had to have the door and seal replaced as it leaked. It still leaks on a fast spin. Now it’s become really noisy, sound like the bearings have gone. Really not impressed with this machine, which was expensive. My old Samsung lasted 9 yrs, this machine is awful. Smells damp even though I clean the machine and leave the door ajar. Looking at the reviews, there seems to be a problem with some of them. I would not recommend this model

Quite literally the worst washing machine I've ever owned, noticed clothes coming out smelling musty and not nice from about month 3. No change in washing habits or powder, just the machine which changed and the washes got noticeably worse. I gave up using the steam function as it just made clothes smell even worse. WHen I popped a dirty white T shirt in there with other white T shirts, they actually came out with mud splots all over them which had migrated from dirty t shirt after washing. My white t shirts literally dirtier than when they went in. It finally broke down after only 4years... with light 3 loads only a week use. (drum noisy, then stopped spinning even though motor going, so probably belt and bearings issue, but I was so happy to get rid of it). Build was cheap, drawer front different shade of grey to rest of machine. Clunky multiple button and wheel turn actions to change wash functions within usual settings. Clearly too many expensive add ons to get dirty inside machine, I suspect the steam function, the extra door for adding in things mid wash, the sealed auto dose trays, etc. Was so expensive had to run it's life, super bad value for money, didn't use auto dosing function, just powder to counteract the smell which was worse with liquid detergents. Was quite though at start, that's literally all I have good to say about this machine. I had such a big argument with John Lewis over I haven't shopped with them since, and I'll never buy a Samsung electrical product again (as their stick hoover's pretty much the same story as this washing machine). So glad the washing machine broke so I could go back to my favoured brands. Samsung's temporary trial is over in this household.

I bought this machine in August 22 and the drum has broken Oct 23 (awful smell of melted plastic which was left on the washing. Fortunately someone was home to unplug the machine in case of fire). Average amount of usage from a family of 4. It has been 7 days since I called them out. It took 2 days for someone to 'inspect' the machine and a further 5 days later there is still no indication of when the repair will take place. Terrible customer service. Features/performance/design/value/noise/ease of use don't matter if the machine doesn't work!

Door seal rips really quickly and known issue with leaks from the door. Neither are under warranty so you will have to pay £120 plus VAT and spare part cost £45 to get it fixed, likely within 6 months of use. Don't buy - fault with door seal and the fault isn't under warranty

Quite effective and easy to use. Despenses washing liquid and conditioner automatically which is great with young children doing there own washing, saves too muuch being used. Door to add that sock that got dropped on the way to the machine and quite :-). Lots of programes easy to opperate 15min quick wash. Had the Top of the range Panasonic before which was OK but always had a small piece of wasing stuck by the door not washed or spun, very annoying, Doesn't happen with this machine. Like the colour too. Buy it from John Lewis good deal and extra 3 year warranty makes it 5 Years!!!

Great machine. Love the add wash and autodose feature. I’ve saved so much on softener and detergent. The clothes come out lovely and really fresh. Couple of down sides to mention. Had it on a cotton wash for 1hr 17mins and during the cycle it switched to 2hrs which resulted in a favourite t-shirt losing it’s print (I was a bad mum that day) and the second is socks get caught in the door rubber and are soaking wet when the cycle is finished. You have to wring them out when the wash is complete.

Bought this washing machine 2.5 years ago and the bearings have gone, contacted Samsung and offered me a 20% discount on a new one or contract there repairer . The repairer said buy a new one as the repair was gonna be around £300 is it worth buying a good quality washer

Has so many good features I’m still discovering them, I love the autodose feature, fill the tanks and forget about it until it asks for more, amount is adjustable too. The addwash is a good feature, I didn’t think I’d use it but I have a few times now, the self cleaning feature is good too as is the steam and ecobubble overall a brilliant machine that puts most others to shame and I’ve tried most other brands

The auto dispenser feature is poor. Not enough detergent is delivered to the machine. An engineer replaced the dispenser tray for us but this did not improve the situation. Clothes do not smell nice at end of wash. No/very little conditioner is being dispensed either. Customer services state there is nothing wrong with the machine and it is a "customer experience" problem. Some other reviews on other websites say the same as us. We are now having to use the manual option which defeats the reason why we bought the washing machine.

Be warned. Samsung washing machines have a known fault with their rubber seals. Mine is still under warranty and as my rubber seal has suddenly got a small notch and started leaking water through the door. When calling Samsung, at first claimed they didn't have my warranty information (even though I had called them out a couple of years ago to replace the LED panel, which went blank due to a fault) then said the rubber seal wasn't covered under their warranty terms and wanted £170 to replace. Absolutely ridiculous.

Everything is really good on this washer apart from the SmartThings app. The wifi is useless disconnects all the time. Not fit for purpose. However I can’t say anything bad about the washer, it’s really good.

Just purchased this washing machine to replace a leaking Indesit washer/dryer that had lasted over 10 years. I like the addwash feature and the automatic dispensing of washing detergent. The big drum is brilliant. Chose the graphite colour which looks much nicer than a standard white machine and worth the extra £30. Very quiet machine. Very pleased thus far.

I hate this machine. I regularly run and my clothes get sweaty. I can't find a program that takes the smell out of my Towels come out smelling of wet dog. I called and asked for advice and used the suggested cycle...they still smelled. I can only get rid of the smell by washing them twice.

Add wash and auto dispense were the main reasons for my choice, auto dispense makes life easier and the add wash door honestly gets used so much more than I had expected! Great feature and no having to drain the load to add a stray sock or T shirt.

Very technical bit of kit and its good at what it does, but the load capacity is rubbish. If anything is wet when you put it in, its tells you its overloaded.

This washing machine is absolutely superb! I use a cold wash almost exclusively and my clothes always come out clean and smelling great. The autodose is brilliant. I had a Miele with autodose that didn't work and also a Bosch autodose that was crap. The Samsung's is brilliant and it doesn't seem to use much liquids. The best thing though is how amazingly efficient it is! I can wash a 10.5KG load on a cold wash and it only uses 100-200 watts power in total! I also have the same series of dryer and it's brilliant. The washer sends the dryer info of what load has been used and then automatically suggest the right drying cycle. It's super quiet despite not being the VRT model. Samsung make the best washers bar none. The app is easy to use and the washer has great smart and remote features. They're not cheap but they're worth every penny and a 5 year warranty brings peace of mind - not that I've ever had a fault with any of the Samsung washers I've had. The add wash door is a little bit gimmicky as you still have to pause the wash to open the add wash door - you can get the same result opening the main door and it's a much bigger opening to add odd items.
