I thought buying a samsung uhd DVD player to use with a samsung top of the range TV (Q9FNATXXU) would mean great sound as well as picture. How wrong could I be - I cant play 95% of my DVDs through a normal TV setup because Samsung no longer support DTS sound codecs on their TVs (That's all their 2018/2019 TVs !!). The UHD player supports DTS DVDs but the 'flagship' TV will not pass DTS through to my 'flagship' HW-N950 soundbar. Instead it converts to PCM. I've spent the best part of £4K to get a 'bottom of the range' integrated samsung audio system. Sure, I can connect the UHD player direct to the soundbar and get DTS but why do Samsung not support DTS on all their products ?? I think they should remove 'flagship' from their description of the Q9FNATXXU TV because it clearly isnt !! Come on Samsung, whats going on ????

got this player free if you like with a q8 led tv always use samsung equipment this player is very very fast loading from disc in to playing picture on my new q8 tv is outstanding with the included planet earth 2

I finally decided to make the jump to 4k and I decided on this 4k blu ray player after doing some checking and looking at the reviews from here and other sites, And I can definitely say I was not disappointed the picture quality is brilliant as is the sound. Within 10 minutes I was watching a 4k blu ray it was very easy to set up the one bit of advice I would give is make sure you have a high speed HDMI 2.0 cable because its capable of running at true 4k.

Easy to set up,was up&running within 10 minutes.The picture&sound quality is excellent.Easy to use,with the usual smart features.But make sure you get the proper HDMI cable for it ,else it won't work.Highly recommend this product,if you want a UHD/blu-player this is the one to get.This is why i give it 5stars.

Great 4k Bluray for the price bracket. Particularly liked that it has the Smart hub so I could update my samsung tv hub with this one instead of needing to change tv. Just wish all apps found on samsung tvs were also available on the blurays.

Everything so far seems to work quite well , the picture quality is good even when playing a DVD and not blu Ray . This is the first 4k blu ray player I've owned and I'm happy with it .
