I have exchanged my phone because my husband had changed his earlier. My old phone was so slow in opening apps, my husbands phone was a lot quicker. He has the A16, I bought the A17 model. It was so easy to import all my photo's and data from my old phone. I simply followed the instructions and prompts as they appeared. It took about 1 hour, and my new phone was up and running. As I was on a sim only contract with my previous phone, I kept the same data pack I had before. If I had upgraded through my supplier, I would have had a lot less data. The performance of the A17 far surpasses anything I have had before.

Had this a few weeks. I use it for calls, messaging apps and general Web browsing. Works well. No lagging. Battery lasts 3-5 days. Only issue is it says there's an error with my SD card which may be as the fit didn't seem very tight on the tray. The backgrounds and themes are a bit boring with very few colour options on the phone but you can "purchase" free ones. The tones are equally boring and annoying. Not as user friendly as the Nokia 5.3 I had for the previous 6 years. Too many clicks/swipes to get to where you need to be for apps, check notifications, change from silent to ring with no vibrate etc. All in all, a great phone for the price.

Unfortunately having to upgrade a phone due to degradation of battery performance is necessary with new phones being expensive for no more than a 2 year performance lifespan. We decided to use a cheaper model this time for the cost benefit and to see is its performance was acceptable. So far the phone seems to work just as good as the more expensive phone but time will tell if it will fall off quicker than the previous phone. The most annoying thing is that you have to use the side button and not the screen to use your fingerprint to open the phone otherwise the functions we use regularly appear to be fine.

I hate it! I expect rave reviews will be received from younger people or those with businesses tor run or administer but those of us of great age and antiquity the majority of stuff on the infernal device is unwanted and clutters up the routes to what is wanted, e mail etc. a diary (not a calendar),. a simple alarm clock. I did not expect ladies underweare and electric bikes to be condidered important in my life.

I honestly cannot fault the Samsung Phones. I have had an AO2's for the last 4 years with no problems at all but my partner needed a different phone and as he doesn't use his as much as I do I let him have the A02's and I purchased the A17. At first I thought it was the same size but it's slightly wider. It has more than enough storage for what I want it for, the camera is great and the screen is super smooth. The battery lasts all day leaving around 40% left by the end of the day, but obviously this is down to how much it is used. I highly recommend using the "Smart switch app" to transfer your old phone to your new one. I never had a problem with the A02's and hopefully I won't with the A17.

I was on a strict budget when looking for a replacement for my old Huawei P10 which was good but the software was out of date. All my immediate family already had Samsung phones and my wife had bought an A17 a few months earlier as a trial. One issue was the size but I quickly adjusted to this and now prefer the larger screen. Setting up was fairly easy for someone of my generation, using Samsung Switch to transfer all my data which worked well. After about a month of acclimatising to the new phone , I am very pleased with it. I miss having an earphone jack as this forces you to use Bluetooth earbuds but there is a USB C to jack adaptor available so that you can use the charging port I believe. Overall a great phone at this price level.

It's a new phone that I can use to make calls and send text messages and read news articles about how the hypocrisy of society is rife. The first advert or news story demands that you MUST recycle or the world dies interpersed with adverts to throw away your perfectly good phone, 25 million phones are thrown away in the UK every year, and get a MUST HAVE new one or how Microsoft want you to throw away a perfectly useable computer because its not fast enough for a new operating system, roughly 400 million perfectly usable computers just thrown away...ridiculous Oh and the good news, its only really humanity that dies out because the world WILL survive. Screen great, reception lovely, all round lovely but real pain to change phone against my wishes.

My first smart phone and I am really pleased with it, having used a very old Nokia for years I wanted something that was not too complicated that I could use to make the odd call/text, use of internet for research when out and about and something that will take good photos, this phone does it all. The build is good and it feels very durable, the performance is nice and quick, battery life is excellent and I am very pleased with the camera. It is a great phone at a great price, I would definitely recommend this and would buy again.

Do not buy this phone. It is Junk. The performance of this phone is incredibly poor. It forgets where it is on a web page or app whenever I return to it, it's it slow at even taking photos. This was supposed to replace a 7 year old Galaxy Phone which works much much better than this one. I am extremely disappointed. Even when I get a cal the incoming call screen doesn't show right away and there is a delay before answering. The sound quality from the speaker is also very poor quality. I can't stand listening to music through it.

Everythinv the battery and overall performance and speed and apps and how the graphics and oled screen is and how its a 4gb.s phone but it can get samsung plus biult into the ram to boist up to nearly 9gb.s of ram its amazing and the cpu is inpressive too 8 cores at 2.2gz.s on 6 cores and 2.0gh.s 2 two cores and 2 cores on its gpu 1600mhz

Having moved from a Moto G(6), this Samsung A17 4G is a vast improvement. I already use a Samsung tablet so many of the features are familiar. If its new to you, there are many Youtube videos explaining the features. It starts up quickly, the battery life seems good, navigating the Internet is easy and smooth. The dual SIM facility is useful for me to be sure of a wider signal coverage, but if this is not necessary the second slot can be used for additional memory. I'm finding it really useful.

The affordable end of Samsung and very nice it is too. Bags of memory space and works seamlessly. Easy to set up and navigate (imo). Good quality phone and with great sound, visuals and camera. If anyone is struggling with Android not updating the old OS this one will give you Android 16 and several years worth of updates. Which to me is a good deal in today's throw-away marketplace. I like the transfer facility where you can basically upload your old Samsung phone data and apps to your new one.

I bought this phone to replace an older phone of a different model. The performance of the A17 is way far better, general performance,storage and battery life is exceptional. And it was so simple to bring all my data, photo's etc over fom my old phone. As I was on a sim only deal, all I had to do was swap my old sim into the new phone and all was up and running. It took about one hour in total to get the A17 all ready to use. And the camera's give excellent quality pictures.

I bought this phone a few weeks ago. I am very happy with it. The only thing I found annoying was the fact that there was no suitable charger or cable with it. Luckily the charging cable to my tablet fitted it which I plugged directly into to my house USB socket. I would have been stuck otherwise until I went to the shops or ordered a suitable charging cable or charger online. The cable that comes with the phone has no USB connection just a phone connection on each end.

I got this as a replacement - It's not working correctly - just like the last one, batteries horrendous, barely lasting me 8 hours and I'm hardly using it - I don't know if it's the cheaper end of samsung but both my last A16 and thias A17 just aren't doing the job - Also, as the main issue on my last phone was the front camera stop working, this entire camera app on the A17 just struggles to even take a photo - both cameras rarely load up, just overall very disappointed.

This is the first new android smartphone I've owned in 7 years and I'm amazed that only battery, memory and storage has progressed. User choices have become further restricted (or is this Samsung policy?), in one case denying the owner access for 30 minutes after imagining multiple unsuccessful logons while left alone in a pocket - and this 'feature' can only be disabled by removing the screen lock! I will take more care before selecting my next smartphone.

Bought this to replace an ageing A10s that I had never been completely happy with for two reasons one never quiet got the hand of sliding the call sign to receive a call and never managed to extend the ring tone passed 15 seconds to go to answer phone.This is a great phone and absolutely adiquite for those of us that actually just want a phone with decent access to the internet and the odd snap .Went with 4g rather than 5g because I never use mobile data . The sound quality could be better Ok with the speaker but volume not great on the ear piece.Worth looking at a couple of instruction videos on U tube to solve my problem with the old phone and learn how to set this one up for better results.Still not solved the mystery of the call answer time though.Good discount on the 4g model.Would definitely recommend but do check out the videos

Got this as an upgrade from my Samsung A12. I've had it a few days now and it's seem fine. I used the Samsung app which allows me to move everything from my old phone to my new one which was okay - I got a bit stuck with it but muddled through. It's worth checking out Youtube to see what guff they add as I changed some of the settings to extend the battery life and adjusted some of the settings on the apps to stop unnecessary intrusions.

I only bought it recently and am starting to get use to it. First of all, it was easy to order, and I was able to collect on the same day. The A17 Galaxy is actually my first smartphone. I'm very impressed at the ease to install, the clarity of the screen, ease to use, and how well it behaves when USB tethering with my laptop which was one of the important features I required. Good phone, does everything I expected a Samsung to do and easy to transfer from my existing Samsung phone. Only downside for me, it no longer has an earphone/3.5mm port. I don't like wireless earbuds as they often go flat part way through a gig/performance so it's wired all the way and now I have to buy an adapter for USB C to 3.5mm to work with this phone. Possibly won't bother many people just me.

The phone unit itself is okay but unfortunately the battery does not kèep the charge well, i am a light user but still the battery discharges quite rapidly. Also the phone is not displaying the correct phone number of my SIM card, I am unable to change this regardless of my many attempts to rectify it, this is causing many problems for the reciever as they are shown an entirely different number,

I bought this phone to be a temporary replacement, battery is okay, display is fine but the phone is slow and the build quality is very poor and cheap. Samsungs UI is horrible and the camera is basic. I'll be selling soon when I get my preferred phone, would I suggest it for older people and for people who needs a spare or temporary phone yes.

It's a very nice phone. A great size for watching videos snd films on. Fairly good camera, it's not thr best but a little better than the Google pixel phone I had. Good battery life so far. Sorry for the late review, this phone us really quite good but recently I've noticed the battery seems yo be running low more frequently and ive changed nothing. Bought this as a work phone. Relatively easy to set up and transfer information from old samsung phone using app. Some things need to be adjusted and apps signed into etc, but that's to be expected. Settings not as advanced as my A56....for things like flight mode and wifi access but does the job I need it to do well.

Every so often a phone symbol which when clicked on rotates my screen from land scape to portrait which is an irritation as this feature pops randomly. Also the phones performance slows down significantly to the point of waiting nearly minute for a tab to load when more then 7 apps are opened at once so requires me to click the three line button and swip up to close them. Also I notice that when I use some social apps such as tinder and WhatsApp the app says that there is no Internet connection despite the phone being connected to the Internet. Finally when the search engine refreshes automatically when several apps are opened at once and the search engines apps has not been used for 5 minutes but this does not happen when the search engine app is the only app opened unless left for around 15 minutes or more. How ever the sound quality is excellent in terms of clarity abs volume the quality of the phone display is very good. The mobile phone itself is very easy to use

Terrible, I bought this phone to replace my 10 year old Honor Play. It's Slower, the Finger print reader works maybe 15% of the time, It's full of horrible Samsung bloatware that pesters you all the time, the Signal is worse and needs restarting at least twice a day to get the Signal back, I hate it so much.

Very poor quality, overpriced and full of gremlins. Very disappointed. It won't even close down easily and takes 10 plus attempts to do so. Only had it a few days, (my previous phone was an A12). So impressed with the relative ease of transfering info/data to new phone using the C to C cable included. As a 77 yr old, I am not interested in gaming / majority of apps, but clearly the phone is neat, well made, easy to use & should serve me well.

I absolutely love my new samsung A17. It is an upgrade from a xioami that iv had for 3 years. However, since I put in a SD card, the videos and photos I take with the camera do not save, which is very disappointing. The SD card is not a cheap one so 8m not sure what's wrong. 4* for the phone though 😃

Great little phone, if you're not an intensive user this is fab, battery life is really good and build quality / durability is solid. Samsung switch from a previous phone was great for connectivity to old device and to copy quickly and easily. Display is big and bright and camera is half decent.

The a17 is great for a device under £200, the phone has amazing battery life and a great camera. The built in storage is amazing, especially for an affordable phone. However the phones design could be better. The phones back panel picks up fingerprints very easy and is quite slippery to hold.

This will prove to be good phone at the price. You must remember to get a charger for it and get rid of unessary apps (usually with clinging adverts). No problems downloading apps from old phone but you need paswords off the old machine⁹⁹⁹9

Battery is amazing for the price and so is the display but I wish it could be 120 hz its sometimes baggy because of the ram since it only has 4 Gigabytes but it has a good camera. But its a good value phone for being under £200.

I bought this phone about a month ago battery lasts upto 4 days,excellent camera, display exceptional can choose different colours, durability is excellent, cannot fault the performance for the price.

Great phone, screen size is good and no issues, nice colour. Great design fast efficient and just a brilliant phone . 4g can be quite slow in areas as it doesn't have 5g but overall does it's purpose

I brought this phone for my partner as a Xmas present. He has a older version. Was impressed that it has gorilla glass as its a A and nod a Samsung S. Always go for Samsung as the phones last well.

I bought this phone a month ago as a backup phone for my spare SIM card so I can access my home country’s App Store (which I can’t do on my iOS device). Solid phone that did the job. Would recommend.

The battery performance is terrible it runs down very quickly i got this Galexy A17 as I thought getting an upgrade on my old model but I am not happy with it at all I would not recommend this modle
