So it's funny, this isn't the one I wanted, but this was the one my daughter had And offered to give it to me. Once she got a new one.no i still have it. I have not gotten a new one because it's great. It's durable, and it's rough and tough, stable. I never had it from boot or anything. It's good good piece of equipment.

Added life to a Dell Precision T1500 (I7 860 cpu,14 yrs old) & T1600 (Xeon E3-1245 cpu,13 yrs old), both are towers. I bought two 870 Evo 500 GB SSDs 34 months (2 yr & 10 mon) ago. Used Macrium Reflect to clone from 256 GB HDD to 500 GB SSD. Old cases required 2.5 inch cages to hold SSD drives. Power up to Win10 login screen is 43 seconds. Still works great in both PCs.

Great product but sata is a older dying format currently being replaced by nvme m.2 and others. That isn't any fault if this product though so in light of that this product is a good product in that it does what they promise performance wise and even can surpass those promised speeds but with a few caveats when using samsungs magician software to boost the performance. I like the magician software as well my only gripe with it is that it only supports samsung drives when it comes to certain features and stats. The drive runs incredibly cool Temps wise and I really like how the software tracks the life span and shows it to you with all other kinds of performance info on the easy to read and easy to find dashboard. I bought this at the sametime as buying a samsung 990 nvme m.2 drive which also was a amazing device. For systems like mine that only came with one m.2 slot the sata drives can be a welcomed addition to expanding your storage capabilities. For me I have actually 8 drives in total on my pc several are sata 3 and several are ran threw a nmve to pcie adapter, and I use it for mostly gaming but have plans on using it for a storage server so this way I can have my own free cloud storage set up in the near future.

I purchased the SAMSUNG 870 QVO and have been using it daily for the last two years in my MSI laptop and I can attest to not only the speed, but the reliability of this SSD. With the traditional hard-drive I previously had start up was sluggish and the HDD was a huge battery drain. This hasn't been a problem since I switched to this SSD. I even gained an hour of battery life compared to the old HDD.

Got this for my PS 4 Pro. It made a difference in load speeds from the original non SSD. Bought at a great price and was easy to install. This is the second Samsung ssd I've bought and I've had no issues.

ZFS reports checksum errors and read errors, dmesg shows write errors, after around 6 months. No way to initiate an RMA from samsung's site, only support option gives windows tools to download.
