If you are experiencing problems while registering a new card in Samsung pay, read our quick guide below to help you solve your issues.

Examples of possible error messages:

  • Please update to the latest version of Samsung Wallet app.
  • Check that your Internet browser is accessible via your mobile data network (LTE, 3G, etc.) after disconnecting Wi-Fi.
  • Restart your phone and try again.

Unidentified error or specific action not available in the Samsung Wallet app should be investigated further via your phone's dumpstate log. Once created please submit it via your Samsung Members' account.

How to create a dumpstate log:

On your Samsung Keypad in Phone app > enter *#9900# > enter SysDump menu > tab ‘Run dumpstate & Copy to sdcard’ > you can find the log files in ‘log’ folder on My Files app (Internal storage > ‘log’ folder).

First, check that a network connection is available by connecting via an Internet browser. If there is no network connection problem, then the issue should be investigated further via your phone's dumpstate log.

1) If you cannot register your card because of an “unsupported card” or bank related issue:

  • Please submit relevant information such as Issuer Name, Card BIN via your Samsung Member's account
  • In some cases, certain bank’s registration policies do not work, or have operation issues (e.g. CoA card not available, BIN should be registered beforehand, but not registered in Digital Wallet

2) If you cannot register your card during the initial registration, or after deleting a card, because of "previously registered card”:

  • Please submit relevant information such as Samsung account ID, issuer country, Card BIN
  • In this case, user should contact your bank to remove the card information registered on the Samsung Wallet app

Please note: For VISA cards, it may take 7 days to re-register a card after removing a card in same device.

3) If the network connection is working but a “server connection error” occurs when registering a card:

  • Card registration may be temporarily unavailable because of a system error with Samsung / Card network / Issuer
  • Try a manual or automatic re-registration as this may only be a temporarily issue
  • If the issue still exists, please submit the relevant information such as Samsung account ID, issuer country/name, Card BIN

Please note: A BIN Code is the first 6 digits of your bank card e.g. [1234 56xx xxxx xxxx]
