What can I do with Galaxy AI?

Galaxy AI helps you communicate, create and stay productive with intelligent features built into your Galaxy device. For creativity, My FanCam, and Photo Assist help you edit and enhance photos and videos. For communication, Transcript Assist and Interpreter help you understand conversations and communicate across languages. Now Brief delivers personalised daily updates, making everyday tasks simpler, faster and more intuitive.

Galaxy AI is now readily available on the following devices:

Galaxy Z Series:

 

Galaxy S Series:

  • Galaxy S24 Ultra, S24+, S24, S24 FE
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra, S23+, S23, S23 FE
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra, S22+ and S22

 

Galaxy Tab Series:

  • Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Tab S9+, Tab S9
  • Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, Tab S8+ and Tab S8.

 

Update your software

To get the Galaxy AI features, make sure your device's software is updated to the latest version (One UI 8.0 / 8.5 / 9.0). You may receive a pop-up on your phone prompting you to download and install the update or you can update your mobile device's software manually by following these steps:

Step 1.
 Open Settings > Tap Software update

Step 2.
Tap Check for updates. If an update is available, tap Restart now

Please note: Functions may vary by model/region.

How to activate Galaxy AI features

1 Open Settings > Tap Galaxy AI
2 Tap Galaxy AI
3 Tap a Galaxy AI feature (for example Writing assist) and tap the toggle to activate

Please note: The following features are already activated by default: Now bar, Audio Eraser and Notification Highlights.

Now Nudge analyses what’s on your screen and gives real-time suggestions, shortcuts and autofill options to help you complete tasks faster without switching apps.

Search with Finder

Lets you search your phone more intelligently - type a rough idea and it finds relevant results across apps, notifications, and content, organised for quick access. 

Call Screening

Screens unknown calls by showing a text preview of the caller’s reason, helping you decide whether to answer; it can also block or end spam calls automatically. 

Document Scan

Uses the camera to detect and scan documents, then enhances them by removing distortions, shadows and unwanted elements for a clean digital copy.
