Samsung Care+ Accidental Damage and Theft:

Samsung Care+ can be purchased to include both accidental damage and theft. However, it is not available to cover loss under any circumstances.

Your Samsung Care+ policy cannot be upgraded after purchase to include theft cover.

Accidental damage refers to the device failing to function correctly as a result of an incident that has happened by accident. This can include the device being dropped or having liquid spilled on it.

Worldwide cover means that your device will be protected by Samsung Care+ even if you are outside the country.

You can make a claim while you are out of the country. If it is accepted, your device can either be repaired or replaced when you return to the country. In the event that the device is replaced, it can only be delivered to a United Kingdom address.

Samsung Care+ covers cracked screens. However, it does not cover scratches or dents.

The excess on Samsung Care+ depends on the device model and the policy type. The excess must be paid before successful claims can be completed.

You can start a new claim and track the progress through the Assurant Claims Website. This is only applicable for devices covered with Assurant. To make a claim for devices covered by Allianz please visit this page or contact us.

If your device needs to be replaced, the replacement device will come with:

  • The remaining period of cover on your Samsung Care+ package
  • The remaining period of the Samsung 2-year limited warranty from the original insured device or with a 90-day limited warranty (whichever is longer)

If your device needs to be replaced, Samsung will try to replace it with one the same colour but cannot guarantee that this is always possible.

Samsung cannot guarantee to replace any limited or special edition devices.

If Samsung cannot provide you with a replacement of the same make and model, you’ll be offered a choice of devices with similar specifications.

Replacement devices may come from fully refurbished stock (stock that is not brand new). Before sending devices to settle a claim, we carry out a comprehensive checking process to make sure that they are in full working order.

If Samsung is unable to repair or replace your device, we will contact you to discuss different ways to pay your claim.

When you reach your claim limit, for 1 and 2-year policies, you will not be able to make any more claims under the policy. For monthly policies, the policy will end automatically and no refund will be due.

Customers paying monthly can make up to 2 claims in every 12-month period, over 36 months.

Customers who purchase a 1-year policy are allowed 2 claims in the period.

Customers with a 2-year policy are allowed 4 claims over the term. With a limit of 2 successful claims that can be made in each 12-month period.

The majority of Samsung devices including smartphones, tablets, wearables, and laptops under 6 months old are eligible for Samsung Care+.

There is a cooling off period of 14 days.

If you change your mind during this period, you can cancel the policy and you will receive a full refund if no claims were made.
