Samsung claims that this usb could have "Fast and convenient read speeds up to 300 MB/s¹" but this is absolutely not true. When I bought this usb drive I was getting a write speed of 39MB/s and a good read speed of around 150MB/s. After just a few months of usage the read speed has decreased signigicantly to 39MB/s (the same as the write speed). If speed is the thing you're looking for I'm afraid this is not the right USB for you. The usb has a solid design and is unlikely to ever snap or break.

I've had a 32gb flash drive that I've been carrying on my belt for the last 6-7 years and this thing has survived just about everything. welding shops and grinding metal, carpentry shops and sawdust, just getting slammed around as I bump into everything and this flash drive has only now stopped working. I never expected it to last as long as it did and now have a 128gb to replace it and go another 6-7 years.
