The phone has stopped charging twice in 10 months. Poor quality and a known fault. First time was covered under warranty but Samsung will not cover it the second time due to a cracked camera lense. These issues are not related. This is supposed to be a ruggedised phone.

Vodafone advised there is a "known problem" with this phone giving false "moisture detected in USB port" meaning you cant charge it. Even when phone has not been in near water (although advertised to resist water to depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes). None of the online suggested solutions work. Evidently a design fault.

RECENTLY ANOTHER DROP SO I SENT IT OFF AGAIN AND HAVING HAD IT FOR 6 WEEKS I THEN GOT TOLD IT COULDN'T BE FIXED. GOD KNOWS WHY THEY DIDN'T JUST SAY THAT AFTER A WEEK. This model is built to be durable and rugged, and has been tested to survive drops from about 5 feet. The water and dust resistance has a rating of IP68. Whilst this model is significantly more durable than normal smartphones, issues can still occur from constant physical damage. We would highly recommend still using a protective case to absorb impact and to provide better protection and a greater grip. Some cases feature phone straps, which can be extremely helpful in preventing accidental drops, and a screen protector adds an extra layer of defence against impacts. It's a rugged-ish phone, but not very exciting. It does everything I need it to do, ie make calls, WhatsApp, internet etc. It's a good size, not ridiculously big. Disappointed that there is no fingerprint recognition and no cover for over the charging port. Battery life is good at almost 2 days. Cameras average. I'm happy with it, but not blown away.

I bought this in February 2024 to replace an old Motorola G7 which had failed after many years of good service. Features I wanted; A removable battery, a headphone socket and reasonably robust/waterproof. Whilst I understand the rationale behind a sealed unit and no headphone socket it feels like taking away usefulness. A USB-C to 3.5 adapter is clumsy, liable to break and at the wrong end of the phone. A removable battery allows one to carry a spare and quickly replace when the original dies without open heart surgery on the phone. The xcover 7 provides these 3 features, but strangely, Samsung don't supply spare batteries or the POGO cradle which removes some of the touted abilities. Day to day, the phone is ok - good bright screen outside, average camera and decent volume, battery life ok for an average day's use, but it doesn't really excel in anything. The case is too slippery especially when damp so I fitted a rubber cover which helped. The extra button is a nice idea but it's annoying to turn on the torch or camera by mistake. The Motorola had a much better system of gestures to quickly turn on camera or torch, and also would stay on when you were looking at the screen. Overall it does what I want, but not outstandingly.

Fabulous phone, value for money, tough phone, don't even bother to use screen protector, but Keyboard not as accurate as my old Nokia xr20 , made mistakes most of the time which I dislike.

Worst phone ive ever had! Doesnt stop telling me that the charging port is wet for no good reason and just like 10+ times a day, slower then the xcover 6 pro, broke the plasic cover from within 2 weeks from a fall from my pants sitting. Abolute junk, slower then most of my older phones. Charging port is crap for a phone advertised as "ruggid" Oh and fully charged to empty is 5 minutes if you live anywhere it gets chilly....junk phone, i want a refund and i tried the 6 and the 6 pro and they were waaaaaayyy better, and for some reason my bank app keeps telling me to use my fingerprint scanner that isnt there, but the app is made to spot if your phone has it....why? Absolute pain this phone, got over 57+ reminders during this writing that the charging port is wet...

Though we've made this phone as sturdy as possible, to ensure its safety in tougher environments, we can't guarantee it will remain damage free in every scenario. While it isn't ideal that the battery feel out following a fall, as long as no damage was sustained, you can pop it back in and continue to enjoy your brilliant phone. Overall, a solid performance for the price. I like the removable battery, which lasts well. It's rugged enough, although I miss the lanyard ring that my old phone had. The camera and video are a little slow, and the picture colour can appear artificial sometimes. The display is great for my needs. The niggles I have mentioned reflect its value pricing, so they are to be expected. Overall, I am very pleased with this phone.

This phone has all usual features other phones have - with one very beneficial key feature. It has a quick change battery which takes about 20 seconds to do. Also if you debloat, delete and disable most apps it can last up to 5-7 days depending on useage.
I recommended this product.

Great phone, solidly built with great performance, the display is crisp and clear and the battery can last for a week with general usage. not tried camera yet as its a work phone but i would expect it is up to the usual samsung s excelent standard.
