Worst FF ever. Didn't work properly from day 1. Samsung service ,when you can understand them, is the worst in the world. I had a Samsung American FF for 17 years and only replaced a light bulb but these are just crap and same about service. Paid £2279 for a piece of rubbish.

Door skins made of tinfoil seriously would dent if you looked at them. Bottom fridge door is also a terrible design even if the fridge door is fully open it is very possible to dent the side of the door. Also buy a low profile floor brush as the doors are now much lower than the previous models, the slightest tap on the door will cause a dent. This fridge is basically a show piece , definitely not capable of the reality of real life situations. If you have kids you may as well source some kind of protective cover. Only positive thing I can say is the energy savings seem to be truthful according to the app

This was to replace a Samsung American style fridge we had for 19 years. It had an amazing amount of space inside both the fridge and freezer, the doors and drawers and shelves are all great. The ice and water dispenser in the new machine are not as good as the old one, the pipe for the cold water is badly designed. The lip for drops or spills on the water dispenser is less deep than my previous model, so changes have been done and it has become a retro step... This one is much more energy efficient and it maintains a cool temp throughout the fridge. I have added it to my smart features so hopefully that will be a bonus.

Beautiful looking piece of cooling technology. Huge capacity of the fridge and freezer. It makes a great impression outside and inside. Energy class C. Quiet operation. Very wide open doors. Separate cooling system for the fridge and freezer. Poor and imprecise instructions. I had to squeeze the fridge through a 70 cm gap, so I had to unscrew the door. Quite an easy operation but not described in detail in the instructions. Simple water and filter connection. Slight problems with pulling out the polystyrene from under the fridge. Ultimately, a very well-made fridge, looks good inside and outside. Well-chilled and tasty water and ice. I definitely recommend it! I love it!

I bought this item and choose the black colour to blend to my kitchen cabinets. I like this fridge freezer, but not the way it is advertised. When you say black fridge, you should mean a fridge with a black door and a silver body (see pic). So, before you buy and choose your colour, keep in mind that the colour you select only applies to the door and not the entire fridge.

I bought this fridge as my mother has a Samsung fridge that is still working perfectly after 20 years. I've had mine for 2 months and I would prefer hers. The cubed ice is a mix of cubed and crushed and everytime you try to use the ice, it spits out all over the floor so you have to clean the floor after every use. I have had a Samsung engineer visit my property to say nothing is wrong and that's how it works. If I knew the ice dispenser was so poor I would never have purchased the item. Samsung should highlight more that their ice dispenser will result in a health and safety issue.

Purchased last year and within a few months the top freezer section stopped freezing. It occurs intermittently and defrosts the food in the top section while the bottom stays at -20C. Engineer came out and said everything was fine. Even though I had 4 thermocouples inside monitoring the temperature gradient!!! Wind on 11 months and its back however this time the fan is very noisy. Suspect ice build up due to the lack of freezing in the top section( several videos online of Samsung freezers having this issue). Then it starts working again. As the problem is intermittent we shall see what the Engineer says this time. Lost food twice now so well done Samsung. Looking over the reviews you would think that they would stop selling this product. Next time we will go with Bosch as they have their own Engineers !!

I regret buying this fridge freezer. Our old Samsung had the water filter inside the fridge. This useless model has it at the back of the appliance , you have to attach it to the wall at the back and have to pull out the appliance every time you have to change the filter How stupid!

On the plus side, it's a lovely stainless steel colour, has loads of storage space and is virtually silent in operation. However, there are a number of design flaws which mean I can't recommend it. The water dispenser has no light, so you often splash water everywhere if you don't have the glass in the right spot. And the ice comes out a different hole, so that can go on the floor. The drip tray is basically non existent, so do not buy this if you have an expensive wooden floor. Another serious design failure is the bottom fridge door doesn't come out unless you fully open the door, which means the door will get scratched every time you forget to do so.

The freezer has been broken for almost two months, also ice dispenser has been broken for almost two months. Samsung has sent engineers 5x to fix it and failed every single time resulting in my food going to waste three times. The latest repair resulted in fridge side also not working. The last phone call to Samsung that lasted 1h 3mins resulted in … nothing they can do but they’ve created an email reference and someone will contact me. I have a toddler and no fridge or freezer. This is unbelievable from Samsung.

Extremely pleased with our new purchase, surprised by just how much room inside, food seems to stay fresher for longer. Easy to view both frozen and fresh foods with the built in bright led light. Brilliant ice maker, this product is plumbed in which makes it so easy to get fresh chilled filtered water of course with either crushed ice or cubes. Very stylish looks great in black. Solid close on both doors, quiet operation of freezer, like the ability to link phone and see condition, would like to see the app have ability to scan product you put in fridge & freezer other than just meat. However very pleased great product

I have just treated ourselves to a new RS8000 series American fridge freezer after 9 yrs of ownership of another which I actually sold on Facebook market place cheap so someone else can still use it. Anyhow the quality of the shelves is much better than they were in the old one but the only thing I could possibly criticise is that there is no light on the dispenser panel, but if this on lasts as long as the other one then I will be retired and hope to still be here. Top class service from AO as well as getting my BlueLightCard discount so very much appreciated many thanks to Samsung and AO for recognition of Nhs workers.

I purchased this fridge online on Friday and it arrived the next day as promised by the online retailer Marks Electrics. Having had an LG brand for the last 20 years and being very pleased with it I was a little nervous about choosing a different brand. However, this fridge freezer is very pleasing on the eye and has more room than my LG had. I’m very pleased with it so far. It is very quiet, the ice doesn’t start working until the freezer is at the right temperature, it can take several hours so don’t worry it will produce ice. I read the reviews before purchasing and will join the many others who have recommended it.

So much more than an excellent fridge freezer, its kitchen furniture and sumply put it looks fantastic! Functionality is perfect, with a well thought out interior layout for both the freezer and fridge compartments. The front door panel has a water/ ice/ crushed ice dispenser which works well. For those amongst us who like our tech the fridge has an easy to set up app that affords full control of the fridge and has an integral warning function should you inadvertently leave the door open.

The fridge freezer itself it great, but it arrived with a small scratch/dent under the packaging. This is how I discovered for the second time, how useless Samsung Customer services are. They follow a script it seems, and are unable to comprehend why I might not be able to return a fridge freezer to them, and wait 7-10 days for it to be inspected before a replacement is sent. Incidentally, the delivery firm said it would be worthwhile them unpacking off the van to check for damage as there had been a few Samsung fridges with these issues. Lo, they found damage and advised every other company sends a replacement out, and picks up the damaged appliance at the same time. They took a photo and passed onto their company. Samsung customer services are very poor - for example, damaged on deliver items from amazon offer a replacement, then return, or a discount to account for the value reduction due to the damage. Samsung's compensation was: "a discount voucher for future purchases". Or return the item and we'll decide if we'll send a replacement...

Feels solid, nice internals also. Best looking F/F on the market. Layout/shelving well thought through. I like also that this model has a C energy rating which is pretty good for this type of item. You don't hear the motor come on very often, and when it does it is very quiet. The noisiest part is when a block of ice drops into the compartment - standard on all ice maker F/F's. 5 year warranty gives you extra piece of mind.

My first ever American style fridge, and I’ll never be able to go back! It was expensive but worth it. Everything feels premium and it’s amazing to not have to worry about lack of space anymore. I especially love having it plumbed in to make ice and filter water, my only frustration is that the water doesn’t come out super quickly, and that it occasionally makes a bit of noise, but this might just be the ice cubes moving a bit.

Am so disappointed, wanted a black fridge so brought the Black Series 8, but what I’ve got is a grey fridge with black doors, this was not on the spec, wish I had seen the reviews before now as it’s mentioned in them! Customer service just says the fridges and doors vary in colour!

Bought to replace a 20 year old Samsung fridge freezer. It was a challenge to find a similar replacement for our last model to fit the required space. We almost managed it. A different set up on the top meant we are having to redo our wine rack which affected how far it went back, but otherwise about the same. Still getting used to the hidden handles and the plastic containers which are more likely to become damaged than our last ones, especially the bottom ones with flaps on. Plenty of room inside. Nice and quiet with good energy rating of C. Not sure about water and ice dispenser as it seems a bit messy coming out. Seems like a good value buy as we didn’t want a very high tech model but wanted a plumbed in model.

My new American fridge freezer (now my third) is great EXCEPT the filter has to be changed on the floor - so it's now under a cupboard as the machine is fitted in - the previous one was easily accessible inside the fridge. Is this progress - NO I'll have to get on my hands and knees to change it and I'm over 70!

Don't like: Filter now has to be placed behind the appliance - which I already VERY deep, you need to find more space to place it! There is a flap / lid that lifts when you open the bottom drawer in the fridge - but it doesn't close when you shut the drawer - VERY ANNOYING and will get broken! No more cold water - filtered but not cold. The housing / buttons to choose water , ice etc is around of the doors. You've removed the door handles from previous model, to make the handle integrated, but have this part of the door protruding...doesn't make any sense!!

What a great fridge freezer this is. What a leap from our old but still working Samsung fridge freezer - we’ll put that in the garage as I hope it’ll give us even more years of service. Things move on and the new design is robust with its clean lines and enclosed compressor to the rear giving an uncluttered and easily cleaned rear panel. (Remember to keep the vents clean folks) Some reviewers aren’t happy with the external water filter, but I like that it doesn’t take up room inside the generous storage space like in our old Sammy. I’ve installed it in a nearby kitchen unit and can get to it easily. Delivery from the Samsung courier was at the promised time and the lads were helpful and careful through doors etc. Brilliant!

Great value stylish product bought as a replacement for my old Whirlpool. Easy installation today. Spacious fridge and freezer capacity. Sturdy design and build, with twin cooling already in use. It also has metal cooling feature, with controls easy to access and to understand found just inside the fridge door. Power cool for fridge and power freeze for freezer had temperatures reduced to optimum in super fast time and ice maker is already filling up. Really low running costs (225 kWh/annum) compared with my old model and others available today.

After 2.5 years the electrics in the freezer door broke and the ice machine/water dispenser would not work. This would be fine but the door flap is continuously opening and closing making crazy amounts of noise. Repair quoted at £550, half the price of the unit. A machine costing over £1000 should have longer than 2.5 years worth of life. Poor quality from Samsung

My old samsung American style plumbed in fridge freezer lasted 16 years, so it was always going to be the case that I would be purchasing another samsung, This one though being the same exterior size is a lot bigger inside than my old one, I've only had this a couple of days but have noticed it uses half of thr electricity of my last fridge/freezer, the only problem i have encountered is the samsung filter supplied leaked, it must be faulty because i put my old one back on and no leak, but apart from that it's seems a good buy.

After 15 years with our previous Samsung which did have non plumbed water, we are so pleased with this model, non plumbed water and ice. We cannot believe the improved space especially in the fridge section. The freezer section is also bigger than our old one despite having the ice maker in there. The cooling is fantastic. We are still trying to organise the fridge section, there is so much room. The design is very sleek and feels solid and reliable. We are extremely pleased at the moment with this fridge/freezer.

We've wanted an American style fridge freezer for a while and this really doesn't disappoint. The fridge capacity is huge, the filtered water and ice were a real selling point and are constantly used. The fridge temperature is consistent from top to bottom and the appliance looks fantastic in our kitchen. Due to the size we did have to take the doors off of the unit and our back door off to get it in the house but instructions were clear and it was well worth the hassle. All covered by a 5 year warranty too.

This fridge replaces my 10-year-old Samsung fridge, model RSG5UUBP. The interior of my old fridge was much better. For example, it had three drawers in the freezer, but now there are only two – one tiny and one with lots of space... maybe for an umbrella, I guess - :). The same goes for the fridge drawers. Another thing is the display inside the fridge... really? Who designed this? And the water dispenser leaks – where is the quality? The big advantage is the lower power usage compared to my previous fridge.

Love the Freezer, but our old American Freezer had a light to show you when the glass filling with water was full, this freezer needs the same light. Filter is a bit DIY for an appliance at this price, should be internal not stuck on the wall outside the unit and the shelves etc should be able to be moved up and down not fixed in one position.

I love Samsung american fridge freezers I had my last one for 18 years!!! And it was still working when we upgraded to this brilliant C rated one. We decided to do this as its the most energy efficient FF on the market but also has the water ice filter system we love from our previous one. The only problem I'm having is the lack of useful storage inside this huge area!in the fridge it only has one runner for each shelf. No choice in shelf runners like on old version No draw to store cheese and ham etc as in old version No flap up lid to door butter holder and I can't reach to put my hand over huge box front to get butter out Disappointed in the lack of design in freezer too. There is are huge spaces between all the shelves but no boxs for storage of items that dont just stack neatly ie bags and packets no extra runners to change height of shelving. Everything is a mess in fridge it's a great space but has no boxs to contain various smaller items I'm struggling to find decent reasonably priced containers to sort this problem out.Any ideas would be appreciated!

Initial thoughts not as convenient as old model ie:cannot fit milk on top shelf / shelves not adjustable. Does not have display on outside so not easy to check if working okay without opening door ! miss the tray under top shelf on old model! Has an android app that seems pointless as does not display the actual temperature or give alerts. only hope it is at least more efficient and cheaper to run than old model ! so have given Average for performance as to new to tell yet.

Similar to my previous Samsung fridge/freezer, appears to have far more internal storage space in the fridge and freezer. It lacks a wine rack even when there is facility to fit one in the grooves below the top shelf. Customer Service and Expert Chat deny one is available but according to reviews it may be available on espares? I would recommend to a friend if a wine rack was available. Build quality is cheaper than my last one. Lacks physical operating instructions.

Great size overall with lots of shelves and door storage to keep everything in view and organised in the fridge side. I would just like to have the addition of some clear baskets in the freezer side. The frozen items have got to be really neatly stacked, which is not always possible due to item size and packaging. If not they just slide out. The addition of some kind of draw or drop down flap would solve this problem. Otherwise I am loving all of its features!

I love the look of it. I don’t like the fact that the water filter is behind the fridge/freezer. I don’t like the fact that there isn’t a light for the water dispenser, so you can’t see clearly when your glass is full. I also don’t like that the ice goes everywhere, especially the crushed ice. And also there is no drip tray. Also it damage’s easily, you have to be really careful not to knock anything on it.

My old Samsung American style fridge freezer which I had for nearly 20 years finally died, so I went for similar model with water and ice dispenser. It appeared to be same size as last fridge/freezer minus large door handles at front, new appearance much sleeker. However, inside is amazing so much bigger inside, loads of room to store all my Christmas food, and it is very quiet. Definitely recommend

This new fridge freezer replaces a previous American Samsung FF which has given many years of excellent service. So far we are extremely pleased with it. Very quiet and seems to hold slightly more than the previous one. One issue is that the ice/crushed ice feature seems happier with a wider glass as some ice usually ends on the floor. However maybe practice with this will help!

This is our third American Style side by side Fridge Freezer, and our first Samsung Refrigerator. Although we just received it, I am impressed by the apparent simplicity of interior spacious design, without any increase in external dimenisons of comparable applicances. It provides more than 11% greater storage volume within the same basic envelope size, and most relevant it was a lot less costly than my last model (other brand). This Samsung appliance has an Energy Rating of C versus the E rating of my last model. It looks asthetically pleaseing and the thing I like most is the door handle design (or lack of them), with the recessed hand holes in each door meaning there are no handles, which can sometimes be an issue with refrigerators (how they are attached and susceptibility to damage) meaning that the entirerety of each dooar (fridge and freezer compartments) are 'flush', without anything protruding out over.

Lovely big fridge freezer, loads of room. Had to take the doors off to get it through the house, but this was very simple to do with 2 people. Ice maker is great, give it time (24hours) to start producing some. It can connect to the Smartthings ecosystem so you can set/check temperatures and receive alerts if the doors are left open. Looking forward to many years of use.

This being our second Samsung American fridge/freezer. Continued with Samsung due to ease of parts for self assembly and long lasting motors. This latest model is far better than our previous. The internal of both units are soo much bigger. Huge fridge compartment for fast growing hungry families, freezer side has not been compromised for space. Absolutely love it!

The colour is great it is Matt grey/black and does not show finger marks which was a priority when buying a new fridge. I like the fact it is energy saving which was a huge bonus and another reason we went for this model. Overall I am very happy with our new purchase. Our last Samsung American fridge/freezer lasted us 15 years, which is why we have bought another.

Not enough drawers. Compartments hard to access as drawers don’t fully open. The ice making unit despatches ice in bursts and ends up falling on the floor. There is no drip catching tray under the water dispensing unit and the water tends to spill out down the front of the fridge and onto the floor, my wood floor is already showing signs of water damage.

Replaced my old one after just over 10 years of use and not worth repairing. The new one is great, same size, but more room inside, good layout, faster water dispensing and a pit more room so I can now get a pint glass under easily. Bought black finish this time (silver/grey last time) and it looks lovely. Not shiny and doesn’t tend to show fingerprints.

Much more space inside the same volume as my 18 years old American Style fridge this is replacing. Other features: Very quiet and the C energy rating is one of the best on the market for fridges in 2024. Hardly any complaints. Small inconveniences include: the ice compartment is very small compared with the old fridge and other modern ice-makers, including from Samsung. More lights inside, other than the small ceiling LED strip, would increase the appeal and convenience. The smart things / wifi connectivity makes it look modern but it's a gimmick, not much to control other than what's on the panel inside the fridge. The AI feature regarding smart cooling has no feedback to the user so it's impossible to say if it does anything at all. Some charts or any feedback at all would make it meaningful. The Samsung Ireland website never worked for registering any products. I had a hard time availing of the 5 years warranty advertised.

Fridge freezer is great but delivered with a faulty filter that leaked. Contacted support but they are of little use, refuse to send out a replacement filter and want me to return the entire fridge freezer. Ended up purchasing a replacement filter myself, so out of pocket by £20, but saved the hassle of trying to return and order an entire replacement.

Reading other reviews, I was nervous about buying this fridge/freezer but still went ahead after expert reviews and I am not disappointed. Came in great condition and easy to install. No real change from my inlaws model (series 7) apart from smartthings connectivity. However I do like the energy rating on this model, hoping it saves in the long run!

This fridge freezer is very spacious. Loads of room on all the shelves to store small and large items. I also love the design of the wine rack. Also the compartments on the door and very deep, quite spacious and of excellent design. It runs very silently. The colour suits our kitchen due to other appliances being of the same material.

Love my new American fridge freezer, it has replaced my old Samsung one which I had for at least 15 years. This model has so much more space inside and the door bins can take a lot more than the older model. I really hope this model serves me as well as my last. We purchased this to replace our current American style fridge freezer the Samsung has a bigger capacity, more compartments, from what I can tell the cooling is much better it's one of only a few that are C rated for energy and as you'd expect from Samsung has modern technology built in, all in all this has exceeded our expectations.

Replaced 20 year old Samsung american style fridge/ freezes which was still operating but had become very noisy and used a lot of power. New unit in Aluminium was rated at 225KWH which was major selling point as cost should be around £60 per year at current energy prices and was the lowest energy user of all the units I compared

This is about the same size on the outside as our last Samsung American style fridge/freezer, however internally there is far more space and much better internal lighting to allow me to access the food stored within. It also looks fantastic on the inside and out.
I recommended this product.

Great design American style Fridge/Freezer. This is to replace my last Samsung American style Fridge/freezer which gave me no trouble for eighteen years. There is plenty of room in both fridge and freezer and the adjustable shelves make packing it so simple.
I recommended this product.
