Actual product being reviewed is a DV90DG52A0AE. It is awful. A huge disappointment. No periodic reverse tumble dry feature, just wraps sheets into a wet ball. Takes ages and still not dry. Heat exchanger filter is hard to access and very hard to clean. There is no sensor controlled cycle that will actually dry the clothes. It is a complete waste of a lot of money. I'm sorry I bought it. I will now have to buy something else that actually works from another manufacturer. I wont buy Samsung again.

Replacement for a twice failed Candy so decided to go more expensive and not disappointed. Very quiet machine that thoroughly dries clothes. Moisture well sucked out and the drum action is gentle. So far the energy rating is matched by the performance and cost. Well worth the money spent as it appears I have a top notch tumble dryer.

What a brilliant buy, it has a stainless steel drum, looks good and is very quiet. The water drawer is a bit cheap looking and small. The lint dust catcher is a little on the small side. The back legs weren't adjustable which was a major problem for me because my floor slipped down at the back. Display and hidden buttons are boring.

The water drawer is engineered from lightweight, semi-translucent materials to ensure it's easy for you to see how full it is and to empty it, and we want to reassure you that the build quality remains as premium and durable as the rest of your machine. It has a capacity of approximately 4.5 to 5 litres, and is designed to hold more than the moisture extracted from a maximum load of damp laundry, meaning it will never become full mid-cycle. If you prefer, you can instead connect the dryer directly to your household wastewater pipe or sink drain, letting the water empty automatically. The lint catcher is designed to sit flush inside the bottom rim of the door area, and features two lint catchers in one, maximising its size. Product looks great online and I am looking forward to using it, but after delivery, we found deep within the manual, that the door reversal is not easy and convenient as implied on the website, but needs a technician or the warranty is invalidated. Please make this clearer Samsung.

Bought this dryer about 2months ago it very quite for a dryer and has proven to be very efficient, it never gets to the 3:40 indicated at the start of the eco drying cycle, the odd time I put them.on again but thats only for 30 min or so. Being clever about what's in their helps remove heavy towels, large duvet covers. The one item I couldn't recommend highly enough is the supplied brush it's designed perfectly for cleaning the filter which I do almost weekly. I want to prevent any build up on the filter which is easy to access and with the brush clean. I would recommend Samsung we have the 11kg washer which is also excellent.

Very happy with this Samsung heat pump tumble dryer. It dries clothes thoroughly while using far less energy than a traditional dryer, which is a big plus. The sensor drying works well and stops the cycle when clothes are ready, so nothing is over-dried. It’s surprisingly quiet, easy to use, and the drum is large enough for bedding and family-sized loads. Clothes come out soft and well cared for, and the overall build quality feels excellent. A great combination of performance, efficiency and reliability — highly recommended.

Compared to my last Heat Pump dryer this is much quieter and and easier to maintain. The water tray empties easily and the filters too. Drying performance seems to be what you expect and clothes come come out dry. Very happy with this machine and will be buying the matching Washing machine this week :-)

Nicely put together and positive controls. Very impressed with the drying results and excellent drying selection example., Bedding, Towels etc, etc. Good to use and also has a very good fluff filter. Although I won’t use the telephone app I would without doubt recommend this dryer.

Was a little skeptical going from a vented dryer to a heat pump one, but it was a great decision. Noise a lot less and more energy efficient. Also not to forget 5years warranty from Samsung.

Impressed with my tumble dryer. Uses very little electricity, runs quietly. Has several automatic programs and can be controlled with my phone. The washing is nice and soft when completed. The drum is large enough to get a full wash load in. Would consider Samsung for other products.

I purchased this dryer to replace my old indesit. The initial performance was excellent, quicker than I expected; and produced very dry towels. Imonitored the electricity consumption and found it to be less than half thatof my previous dryer. Over all I am very happy with this product; and would definitely recomend It.

Love the use of the app to connect to the dryer to modify settings or check mid-cycle, the remaining time. Drying time is slightly longer than the old vented tumble dryer I had, but the features and the energy saving is so worth it. Would buy another. Shame that when I purchased my dryer, the price went down £190 2 weeks later! Absolutely gutted about that.

Dryer itself is great. Works well and plenty of options. Not sure why the visual gauge has been removed from the water tank such that you can see the level without removing the drawer. Was useful on the older model that this one replaced. Aware there's an automatic display alert when it's full but by that time it is really full.

Between AI damp detector and delay timer it’s a great dryer. Only drawback is the heat exchanger needs regular cleaning and is awkward to clean (The fins need to be vacuumed but debris is too damp to easily vacuum and the fins bend too easily.)/ impossible to thoroughly clean without full disassembly. As a result, the machine (but thankfully not the clothes) has a damp smell…

I took this heat pump dryer in black colour and it is smashing it. The is perfectly working and dry my clothes very quickly and gently. It doesnot take 3 hours which many people have moaned about heat pump dryer. I am loving it. Highly recommend to purchase. Terrible product. Worse Customer Service! Purchased this product apprx 18 months ago. Would not recommend this product for a busy household as it just takes too long to dry. After about 12-14 months it started taking 12 hours + to dry our clothes. We contacted customer service and they sent a repair person twice. Both times he found nothing wrong with the dryer, even though clearly it was not working efficiently. Eventually, after persisting with it, we.got a hazard warning that said "please plug out the machine and contact customer service". I did this and explained that we had been having on going issues with the product for months. I was told this was now a separate issue and our warrantee had run out. Very disappointed with the product and the customer experience.

Great Machine with good programs, have only used it 4-5 times, so still learning. The lint trap works great and I suggest you empty it often so that it doesn't get clogged up. The only think I noticed is that it is a bit louder that our washing machine.

I can honestly say that the Samsung Heat Pump Tumble Dryer is the best appliance I’ve ever bought! From the moment I started using it, I’ve been completely blown away. It’s incredibly energy-efficient — I’ve noticed a real difference in my energy bills. The drying performance is fantastic, and the clothes come out perfectly dry every time, without any shrinkage or damage. Plus, it’s much quieter than my old dryer, which is a huge plus! What I love most are the settings. The sensor drying feature is a game-changer — it adjusts the drying time based on the load, which means I never have to worry about over-drying. And it’s so gentle on my clothes. Even my delicates come out in perfect condition. Overall, this dryer has exceeded all my expectations. If you're thinking about upgrading, I can't recommend this enough. It’s truly worth every penny!

I bought this machine to replace a 9 year old heat pump dryer which packed up. I bought directly from the Samsung UK website and was pleased by the ease of ordering and the speed of delivery (I could have had it the next day). I also paid for my old machine to be taken away and recycled. I’ve only had this a short while but, so far, I have found it easy to use and the clothes dried perfectly. Using the SmartThings app I have been able to tweak the drying programmes to suit my requirements.

I'm a confirmed Samsung person with more than 20 device of various kind registered. I bought this to replace my 8 year old Candy heat pump drier. Like all Samsung products, it's great but appears to lack the one feature I needed, DELAY START. My Samsung washing machine has this feature why not the drier (It has the same button as the washing machine but not the same function!. I want to dry on cheap rate electricity overnight, now I can't (unless I get up in the middle of the night to turn the drier on 🤣😭. I've tried looking through the SmartThings App but no help. Disappointed at the apparent lack of this basic feature on such an otherwise high performance machine.

If you have a dual tariff for electric, you can only define when the program ends via the dryer. Smart things (app) will let you start the program at a specific time but you are limited to one program and one dryness setting if doing so. Our old non-smart dryer was so much more versatile in terms of delaying start/end.
