Would love to be able to review this watch however it was ordered on 10th August and after multiple emails and phonecalls with Samsung KX, I still have no watch. In fact, they have now confirmed that I will be refunded, despite never asking for this. Terrible experience.

The watch is nice and feels much more comfortable than my old one, a lot better performance, but the battery life is terrible. I'm starting to regret buying it to be honest; I charge it before bed and by the next night it's practically dead and won't last another night.

Watch looks really good, but unfortunately I haven't been able to use it yet. I have no way of charging it. My docking station is not compatible, I bought a charger for it which stated it would work for it and it doesn't. Ive also tried power sharing with my S25 phone and it says its not compatible. Ive looked online, including the Samsung store to try and find a compatible charger but cannot find one. Very disappointed

My first Samsung watch purchase in nearly 10 years and was excited to see what advancements had been made since last Samsung watch, thought it would be the perfect companion to my new S26 Ultra. Purchased the watch9 44mm LTE version direct from my network provider and was pleasantly surprised with my purchase. The screen is beautiful and it's back with features was loving my new purchase until th following day when it was time to charge which seemed to take forever. I timed the next charge which was just over 4 hours to go from 6% battery to 100% using the original supplied puck, not great especially i seem to be charging it more than I thought i would be and not even had it a week yet. I've tried a handful of 3rd party chargers and not one worked (I like a spare for travelling). Display prompts messages stating, slow charging, charger not compatible to not doing/displaying anything at all. Loved this item at first but has become nothing more than a disappointment and thinking I shall probably be returning it for a refund.

While it's great to see that you are enjoying the incredible screen and features, we're sorry to read that you aren't getting the battery life and charging experience you would expect from your Galaxy Watch9, Richie. Your device is capable of up to 40 hours of life, depending on usage. Usage is a huge factor in the battery length of a watch, and features such as Always On Display and continuous health monitoring will have a great impact on how long each charge lasts. Please take a look at the battery saving guidance on the following link, to ensure you get the most out of your watch's battery: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/reduced-battery-life-on-your-samsung-galaxy-watch/ As for charging, due to the way that the watch is designed, it isn't compatible with previous watch chargers. It will work perfectly with the charger included in the box, and we would recommend using that going forward, and any spares you purchase would need to be specifically made for the Galaxy Watch9. While we don't have set charge times for our watches, as long as you are using the official charger and adapter, and there are no obstructions between the charger and watch, you should be receiving the best charging times. If you have further concerns about the battery life you are getting from your watch after following the above guidance, our Support Teams will be happy to help. You can find their contact details and opening hours here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact/ We're here to ensure that your device works as it should, so that you can thoroughly enjoy all the amazing features that it has to offer. ^SK at Samsung Support

Galaxy Watch 9 review: technically impressive, ergonomically brilliant… but what happened to the design? I upgraded from the Galaxy Watch 6 to the Galaxy Watch 9, and after spending some time with it I’ve landed in a slightly strange place: technically, this is probably the better watch. But aesthetically, I’m still not convinced it is the better Galaxy Watch. Let’s start with what Samsung has got right. The ergonomics are excellent. It is incredibly comfortable and lightweight, to the point where I genuinely forget I’m wearing it. For something designed to stay on your wrist all day and night, that matters enormously. The new health features are also genuinely interesting, and the display is excellent. Everything feels fast, fluid and responsive. Possibly too responsive at times. When using the on-screen bezel, I regularly find myself scrolling further than intended because it reacts so quickly. And that brings me to something I really miss: the physical bezel. There was something intuitive and satisfying about using it, but it also contributed to the Watch 6 feeling like an actual watch rather than a piece of technology strapped to your wrist. Which brings us to my biggest issue with the Watch 9: the design. I am struggling with the cushion-style pad underneath the circular watch face, particularly because the dial sits raised above it. It makes the whole thing feel bulkier visually than it actually is, and the raised face seems easier to knock accidentally. More importantly, to my eyes, the pad is simply a design eyesore. One of the things I loved about the Galaxy Watch 6 was that Samsung had managed to make a smartwatch that didn't scream smartwatch. With the right strap, it could look like a proper traditional watch. The Watch 9 moves away from that. I wish Samsung had retained more of the distinctive classic-watch identity rather than moving towards the increasingly generic smartwatch aesthetic. I buy Samsung because I want Samsung to make Samsung products. I want the technology, the ecosystem and the health features without feeling as though I’m carrying a miniature computer on my wrist. The lack of a Samsung metal bracelet at launch makes that design problem worse. For a premium watch, it seems ridiculous that there isn't an official metal strap available from the outset. I've now bought a third-party metal bracelet to see whether that can rescue the look, which probably says quite a lot. Then there is charging. I've experienced the watch becoming noticeably warm while charging, with charging slowing significantly as a result. A certain amount of warmth during wireless charging isn't unusual, but when thermal management starts extending the charging time considerably, it doesn't inspire confidence. And when something strapped to your wrist starts getting hot enough for you to wonder whether you should be concerned about the battery, that isn't exactly the premium ownership experience Samsung was aiming for. So where does that leave me? Conflicted. The Watch 9 is wonderfully comfortable. The software is slick. The screen is superb. The health technology is impressive. In several important respects, it is clearly an evolution from my Watch 6. But good product design isn't just about specifications. The Watch 6 disappeared on my wrist both physically and visually. The Watch 9 disappears physically, but visually that cushion pad announces itself every time I look at it. And I can't unsee it. In fact, it reminds me of a flying saucer. I probably wouldn't have bought the Watch 9 at all if Samsung hadn't offered its 100-day satisfaction guarantee. So I'm giving it a proper trial and hoping that somewhere after the required 45-day mark I either discover that the design genuinely grows on me… …or realise I've developed Stockholm syndrome. For now? Fantastic technology. Exceptional comfort. Questionable design choices. Samsung, please stop trying to make my Galaxy Watch look more like everyone else's smartwatch. One of the reasons I bought Galaxy Watches in the first place was because they didn't.

It's a nice watch with a curated design, great features, and solid connectivity. However, when it comes to the battery, you need to know what you're getting into. With the bundled cable and an original Samsung charger, the best I could achieve is 1 hour and 40 minutes for a full charge. That is ridiculously slow considering the battery barely lasts 24 hours! Because it's supposed to handle continuous tracking like sleep monitoring, it becomes a major hassle to plan your day around charging downtime. Coming from the Watch Fit 2 - which lasted 3–4 days and recharged in about 30 minutes - I expected a flagship Watch 9 to perform at least comparably. Instead, this higher-end device is roughly four times slower to charge than a lower-end model. If you rely on round-the-clock tracking, think twice before buying.

We're pleased to hear that you are enjoying the sleek design, innovative smart features, and solid connectivity of your Galaxy Watch9, Felix. However, we're sorry to learn that you're unhappy with the charging speeds. We appreciate the comparison to your previous Galaxy Fit2. To clarify, the Galaxy Fit2 is a completely different product category from the Galaxy Watch9. While the Watch9 is a powerful smartwatch, the Fit2 is a lightweight activity band. The Watch9 battery is much larger, but it has a much more powerful processor, and it requires more regular charging because it uses many complex apps, a high-refresh display, continuous background sensors, and Wear OS, among other upgraded features and hardware. Roughly an hour and a half charging time does sound about right to reach 100% charge, but if you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our friendly Support Teams who are always happy to help. You can find our contact details and opening times here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact/ We hope this information is helpful, and we wish you many happy years ahead with your smartwatch. ^EW at Samsung Support

I'm definitely experiencing battery problems with the 9. AOD is off, continuous health monitoring is off, NFC is off. And still, it loses about 70% of its charge over 20 hours, even on days when I'm just sitting at home. I went for an hour-long walk the other day and its charge went from 80% to 5%!!!

the battery seems like it's a short life in 24 hours I'll consume about 60% of the battery so I have to charge it every night the watch band is uncomfortable because when I put it on my wrist the end of it sticks out and kisses on everything so I've already replaced the band so the end of it to tucks under the the band and make the smoother application

I bought the 40mm blutetooth. Overall the featured and personalisation on the watchfaces is a solid 10/10. However, the battery life is horrific and I wouldnt recommend this watch for this reason alone. I've had it for 1 week so far and have not once gotten a full 24hrs use from it. I have needed to charge twice in a day a couple of times already. Full charged it early yesterday evening and its now at 34% and its not even 9am.... I log my water, exercise and check the info on the watchface and thats about it. I dont text, answer calls or use other features to help preserve the battery. I chose this over a different brand for easy connectivity and am regretting my decision. Best to look elsewhere.

Product is too delicate, screen chipped in two spots from making light contact with a plastic edge. Couldnt wear it out for a week without becoming damaged from having it on outside the bed. This thing requires additional armor if you want to wear it. I regret buying it.

I so badly want this watch, but have to send it back. The watch will not maintain a stable Bluetooth connection with headphones while walking/running. It constantly has disruptions while playing music. It doesn't matter if it's downloaded or streaming via LTE, it just skips all the time. I've tried all of the newest Galaxy watches, and they all experience the same issue. I even bought the Galaxy buds 4 pro headphones to see if that will help, but it didn't. I actually love everything else about this watch, but the main function I need is convenient wireless music while working out, and this watch perform. I'm going to give a different watch a try, which is very disappointing. What's even more disappointing is this generic AI response blaming me for the problem. It's a brand new watch, with brand new earbuds. Of course I have tried many options to solve the problem, but it sounds like this is a hardware problem for this generation of watches, as many people on reddit are experiencing the same problem. Samsung obviously doesn't care since they are using AI to respond to all these reviews.

The watch band was too tight for my wrist and I even went out and bout the next size up and it was still to small. Samsung should make a l/xlg version so people with big wrists can actually use their products. Also the battery life does suck. I charged it to 100 percent and by morning I was down to 50 percent. The display, accuracy, and durability were good though but until samsung can make bigger bands I will not be buying a watch from them.

Hello Tinks, Thank you for taking the time and effort to share your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch9. We understand that choosing the correct watch band for your specific needs can feel daunting at times. We've streamlined this process by offering a wrist measurement guide that you can download and print out. There are step-by-step instructions within the guide to help take your measurements as accurately as possible. After that, choosing the watch band that fits your anatomy is quick and easy. For reference, our Small/Medium size bands for the Galaxy Watch9 fit 130mm to 190mm (5.11 to 7.48 inches) wrists while the Medium/Large fits 145mm to 205mm ((5.71 to 8.07 inches)) wrists. The Galaxy Watch9 is offered in two versions: 40mm with a 390 mAh battery and 44mm with 445 mAh battery. The higher capacity versions allow your Galaxy Watch9 to require less frequency in charging. This means you can keep the Watch powered throughout the day with minimal downtime. While you're using your Galaxy Watch9 without enabling AOD, you should expect to receive about 40 hours of usage time. Up to 30 hours if you're utilizing AOD! It can take some time for your new Galaxy Watch9 to finish background indexing, learning your daily habits, and settling into its normal, optimized battery life. You're able to fix battery drain, by disabling Always-On Display (AOD), turning off continuous background health checks, and restarting your watch. If you're experiencing less than optimal battery life on your new Galaxy Watch9, please take a moment to check out the resources provided below to help resolve what you have described. Greetings Brown, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us regarding your recent experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch9. Ghost touches on a Galaxy Watch typically can occur due to various reasons. Smudges, oils, or a poorly applied screen protector can interfere with the touch feature, for example. We recommend wiping your display completely dry with a clean, soft microfiber cloth. Take off any third-party screen protector that might have trapped air or moisture. You can also turn off the touch to wake feature by: Go to Settings > Display on your watch and disable the "Touch screen to wake" feature if the option is available. If applicable, force restart your device by holding down both side buttons for more than 7 seconds until the Samsung logo appear. For the first few weeks I owned my Watch 9, 40mm Bluetooth version, it was great, battery life was excellent. It was comfortable to wear and battery life was as good as my Watch 8. However the last 4 days battery life has been terrible. I cant even get 12 hours out of it before the battery is almost drained. I contacted support, they were no help at all. Unfortunately I traded in my Watch 8 for this Watch 9 and already mailed it back to Samsung. Samsung says if I return my Watch 9, I cant have my Watch 8 back. Which is ridiculous, they know which one they have is mine, because they inspect it and give a report if it passed inspection or not. So now I'm stuck with a useless watch 9. They insist there is nothing wrong with it because the battery test app says its fine, but clearly its not. Also bizarre, its charging way too fast. Normally its 90 minutes to close to 2 hours to charge from 10% to 100%, but when this battery drain issue started, its also charging crazy fast. Like under 30 minutes for 10% to 100%. I dont know if there was an update in the last week, or if it just suddenly became defective, but I'm seeing people on Reddit and Samsung Members app complaining of the same issue. While Samsung pretends nothing is wrong. I've had numerous Samsung watches over the years and never had an issue with any of them. I'm extremely disappointed wit this one. Do better Samsung and stop denying there is a problem and fix it.

I recently upgraded from the Galaxy 7 to the Galaxy 9 watch, excited about the new features for tracking my fitness and blood pressure. After just a few days with the new watch, the fitness tracker is working smoothly so far! I haven't used the blood pressure tracker yet. However, I do have a big concern regarding the charging process. Why does my watch get so incredibly hot during and after charging? I can't wear the watch immediately after charging because it feels like it's scorching my skin. This presents a significant issue for me.

Excellent watch. Very reliably accurate on its health readings, and it syncs with the Samsung Health app flawlessly. Surprisingly long battery life with a crisp display.

The watch itself seems to be very good. I would like better battery life or it would be fantastic. As far as options for chargers - not even 1 star, come on Samang, you can't launch a new product and not have any charger options out there! (even better - make it clear that the Watch 9 doesn't work with the charger pucks of the last 10 years of watches - you had a very established trend that disappeared without notice)

Howdy Rothweiler, Thanks for taking the time to share your constructive feedback with us regarding your initial impression of the new Samsung Galaxy Watch9. The Galaxy Watch9 40mm version has a 390 mAh battery while the 44mm version offers a 445 mAh battery. The higher capacity allows your Galaxy Watch9 to require less frequency in charging. This means you can keep the Watch powered throughout the day with minimal downtime. While you're using your Galaxy Watch9 without enabling AOD, you should expect to receive about 40 hours of usage time. Up to 30 hours if you're utilizing AOD! If your Galaxy Watch9 doesn't seem to lay flat on your in-box wireless charger, you can remove the band, change to a flatter strap option, or prop your device up so that the center makes direct contact with your wireless charging accessories. If you're experiencing less than optimal battery life on your new device, please check out the resources shared below to help resolve what you may be experiencing. If you have any questions for us or if you would like further assistance, please let us know by reaching out to Samsung Support.

I bought this watch based on my experiences with 2 prior watch purchases, none of which were there issues with the size of the watchband. The watchband for the Galaxy 9 is a bit awkward in that the watch face and buckle are misaligned--the buckle ends up on the side of the wrist. I spoke with customer service; their remedy was to offer a promotional credit to purchase a new band, which initially left me paying more money for something Samsung should've caught in quality control.

I traded in my galaxy watch 8 due to the promise of better battery life. I've had my watch for about a week and need to charge it in the morning and before sleeping. I changed all of my settings for better battery usage. I bought this because of all that it offers but if I can't last a day I'm not sure it's worth it. Very disappointed. It's a good watch that has many solid and useful features. I hope this major issue can be resolved.

Aloha Geri, Thanks for taking the opportunity to reach out and share your insights with us regarding your recent experience using the new Samsung Galaxy Watch9. Your feedback is appreciated as we continue to innovate while making improvements on our product line to suit the needs of our customers. Samsung offers a 12-month warranty on your Watch9 for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. The watch is a great upgrade. The only issue is the change in the charger. I have several puk style chargers and they all make the watch say "slow charging." The only charger that doesn't make the watch say that is the one that came with the watch. So, apparently the charger was changed and no new ones are available. I would like to have a few more since this watch needs frequent charging.

Greetings Chris, Thanks for reaching out to share your sentiments with us regarding your recent experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch9. We understand how frustrating it may be when charging accessories aren't working as expected. At this current time, the new Galaxy Watch9 is designed to work optimally with Samsung’s own wireless charging puck. While many Qi-certified chargers may initiate charging, compatibility is not guaranteed, and in some cases the watch may stop charging due to differences in charging protocols and alignment requirements specific to Galaxy Watches. For the most reliable performance, we strongly recommend using the official in-box Wireless Charger designed for Galaxy Watches. Third-party charging options may not fully support the watch’s charging profile, even if they work well with phones and earbuds. All older wireless chargers will not work with the Watch 9 to charge the battery. Only the original charging cable with the device. Disappointing that there was no mention of that.

I absolutely love the Watch 9. This Watch does more than my Watch 7. The battery life is better, but I still have to charge it everyday. I usually put my watch on the charger first thing when I wake up and then when I am done getting ready for the day, it is fully charged. I think the Watch 9 is more accurate than my 7. I like the set up so much better too. I love how the Galaxy watches intergrade so seamlessly with my S24 plus phone. The Watch 9 is so much lighter to wear. I hardly feel it on my wrist, like with the 7 I always did feel my watch. I am extremely happy with the 9. It does so much than just giving you the time. I am still exploring all that this watch has to offer. If you are on the fence getting the Watch 9, go for it, you won't be disappointed. Also you get longer security and software updates too.

Just received my new Watch 9 the other day, love the new features. I like that I can use the band that fit my watch 8 the only issue I have which I dinged 1 star on is it can not use my 3rd party charging station. My station had no problems charging my watch 8. Watch 9 states it's not compatible with the charging station. I tried updating the charging station but that too will not work. So far the only charger that will work is the one that came with the watch which I'm not a big fan of.

I have had Fitbits since 2020. Thru didn't do much, but suited my needs. I felt the battery wasn't laying very long any more so I decided to move into a real watch.I am enjoying all the bells and whistles on this. The problem is fun comes with a cost. I feel the battery life is trash. I guess I should have looked into battery life a little more. I'm sad to have to reboot it every day. And it takes almost 2 hours to charge. I have turned off several of the features, but isn't that why you buy this product? So many things are battery hogs.
