Bought to replace a 3-year old budget Motorola phone that died, It's not notably faster than the previous phone and the battery life and charging times are much the same. Cloud-based installation of apps that were on the old phone was simple, but left me with duplicated apps where there is a Samsung version pre-installed. Overall, it's an adequate phone I neither recommend it, nor suggest avoiding it.

Samsung is one of the better budget phones. I used to use Motorola, but they are now heavily influenced by Google. Google wants its finger in in every app..including your phone calls & texts. I find that unacceptable. Samsung is marginally better..& the phone does have some nice features..but like Google, Samsung also tries to dominate everything..even the games you play. I try to remove all of its influence from the phone, but it still dominates, sends me countless unwanted notices that I cannot stop, etc & badgers you in a way that it morally shouldn't. Such is the times we live in.

I got this phone to replace one that broke after 6 months, the usb C port is pathetically weak, and when you contact Samsung they won't honor the warranty, so I paid for a repair and it went again, now they don't want to know, I've had Samsung phones for many years but now they are made to fail, thats why I bought another A17 its cheap enough to just bin while I save up for a better phone, when it works its a really good phone but more fragile than an egg shell, so buyer beware.

I bought this phone for my husband who has always refused to have a smart phone till now. The phone is a great choice for beginners, quite large for ‘older users’ to handle easily and very adaptive where needed (eg text size and view type etc.) We did struggle with the contacts disappearing a few times but this has now been sorted. Can’t really comment on the battery as the phone isn’t being drained by using the internet yet.

I bought this for me teen a few months ago and it has been a workhorse of a phone. Good battery life, she is happy with the camera, easy to set up and use. It can be a bit glitchy connecting to our bluetooth speak but overall would happily recommend!

This is my first Samsung mobile phone, in the past I used motorola. This phone is much faster than the ones I was using. I found it easy to set up, the setup procedure copied all my apps and contacts over from my old phone. Leaving me to logon on the different apps. Battery is long lasting and charges in about the same time as other phones I have had. I bought the Samsung to get 5 years of android version updates. The phone was supplied with android 15. I am highly delighted with my purchase.

So far so good. I was lucky enough to have my grandson on hand to set it up for me as I am 80 and although not too shabby with technology (my son says I am the most tech savvy old woman he has ever met!!), it was a daunting task for me to make sure all my info was transferred from my old Moto and although I guess I would have got there in the end my grandson did it in no time flat. He is in his twenties and has a flash i phone but was very impressed with my new Samsung for the price I paid. The battery lasts more than 2 days after a full charge but then my general use is much less than say, my grandsons! I still have a lot to discover
