Where are the sensors and the cameras of my new Galaxy S9/S9+ located?

Let’s give you a quick overview of the locations of the sensors and cameras of your new device and the most important changes that have been made to the Galaxy S9.

Front

In the front of your S9 and S9+ you have 5 sensors and a frontal camera:

Front sensor Galaxy S9
1 SVC LED - Hidden
2 Iris Sensor (Emitter) – Hidden
3 Proximity Sensor & Light Sensor (Detector) – Hidden
4 Proximity Sensor (Emitter) – Hidden
5 Front Camera
6 Iris Sensor - Hidden

Rear

In the rear side you have the following sensors:

1 Finger Print Sensor: is now located beneath the camera(s) in the centre of the device.
2 The LED/HRM: both are situated on the right side of the camera(s), with the LED flash located above the HRM.

Regarding the cameras, their position is slightly different depending on the model you have.

 

For the S9+:

Two intelligent cameras: They are aligned vertically. The wide-angle lens is placed at the top and the telephoto lens right below it.
