15W Duo Super Fast Wireless Charger Pad

Titled "Super Fast Charger" (25W) but only has the capability of "Fast" (15w) charging, this charges my watch at 3.6w and my phone at 6.9w (and a combined 11w when both are charging at the same time). The charging base for the phone is recessed, meaning there's an air gap between charger and phone, which reduces charging rate further. The watch fits well as long as you don't have a continuous bracelet type strap. The user guide is written on Korglish and doesn't tell you if you can charge a phone and a watch at the same time, although it does say you can charge a phone and buds simultaneously. I can see why they're giving these chargers away with watches. Surely no one would pay good money for one? I'll be putting mine on ebay, someone might like it as a trickle charger.

I purchased this product in the hope that it would be an upgrade from the previous fast wireless charger I got from the Samsung shop. I was wrong. This is still only capable of doing fast wireless charging and not the SUPERFAST wireless charging function as mentioned on the box and you would think having the up to date phone s22 ultra 5g it would be capable of this. I had to ask two technical support teams for help and they did not understand at all what I was talking about and they only gave me the option of a refund or exchange because they didn't understand what I was talking about. I am a loyal samsung customer but feel very let down by this product and still no answer as to why it doesn't do what it says on the box. Don't buy if this is the function you're looking for!

I love this device for changing my Flip5 and Watch4 however as I've now upgraded to the Watch8 I'm very disappointed to find it is not compatible with the new strap system on the Watch8 as it won't allow the watchto lie flat enough 😢

First off yes this is a "Super Fast Wireless Charger" - with a very hidden caveat. This only charges Super Fast with a small number of samsung phones such as the Note, others are compatible for Fast Charging but not Super Fast. Most if not all of the reviews are whining about this, where I agree this is not advertised well (or at all?) that it's only for a select number of devices, it states this on the box and the instructions that come with it. Due to the lack of clear advertisement on a fairly pricey product I've knocked a star off it because yes until I read the packaging I assumed it would Super Fast Charge my S22, when it doesn't. However the plug and cable that comes with the charger does Super Fast Charge! So what I've done is take my original Fast Charger for my S22 and used it to power this Duo Charger, I then have the plug and cable from the Duo Charger to charge my S22 on the go and it charges at Super Fast, although wired. Do this at your own risk obviously but it's working well for me as I usually only ever need to top up the battery on my phone on the go so Super Fast Charge is ideal for the quick boost. This is definitely a caveat to the purchase but I'd like to think that if I upgrade my phone in the future this will then Super Fast Charge said upgraded phone, sort of future proofed my charger. For now it does the job as needed/described. Would only really recommend if you are doing something similar to myself and definitely wait for a sale, £80 is steep for it not actually being advertised well...

You're assuming that one has a strap as opposed to a bracelet.

Worst charger invented. Worked for a few weeks now just keeps flashing orange, it will work occasionally if I change wires round but eventually goes back to flashing orange an not charging. Can't get a refund because it's out of the 2 week period. £80 down and stuck with a charger that only works when it wants too.

Brilliant! I can now charge my Z Flip 5 folded (the larger side of the pad is just made for it) and in its case, alongside my watch 6! No more unnecessary cable clutter and easy to carry with me when travelling too. The pad is very sensitive and starts speedily charging both as soon as they touch on. The indicator lights show the power level in three different colours and the devices do not overheat thanks to the built-in cooling function. Very pleased!

This is the worst Samsung Product I have ever owned. It doesn't charge my Smart Watch 8 which was ironically what I got it with. It does not charge my S25. if you mess about with where you place it for five minutes or more, you may get lucky but it is more miss than hit. I cannot believe Samsung have allowed this product to be sold.

Extremely disappointed in this product. No longer charges my Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 however it did within the first month. It now states adjust the position or connect to a different charger. The position cannot be adjusted due to the magnet connection. Very poor service when contacting Samsung to troubleshoot issues as the product was part of a Samsung promotional offer when purchasing the watch they can not offer replacement or repair. Do not waste your money on this product.

I’m using this charger with my Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. The watch side works great, strong magnet, charges easily. But the phone side is a nightmare. It’s incredibly picky about placement; I’ll put my phone on, go to bed, and wake up to find the light flashing red because it stopped charging of never charged... Now I have no phone to start my day with! It can take me minutes just to get it charging properly, and if I move the phone slightly, it knocks my watch or earbuds out of place. I’ve even removed my official Samsung Clear Case, still the same issue. To make things worse, it’s not even super fast charging. For a premium Samsung accessory, this is a poor experience and a big design flaw. Hopefully Samsung improves this in the next version, because right now, it’s just not worth the frustration.

Absolute garbage. Received it as a 'gift' following purchase of my new S25 Ultra. Does not charge my Galaxy watch. Glacially slow charging of the S25. As someone said ..... I reckon Samsung are 'gifting' these just to get rid of them.🫩

Good as a gift from Samsung promotions but, given that it was a gift with the GW8, it can't charge it effectively. the charger that comes with the GW8 is much more efficient and faster. Not sure what I'll do wit this now/

Perfect for my flip4 and watch, and very fast charge. Seen other reviews which say bezle too high for their mobile but my Flip 4 sits perfectly on it.

Absolute lowest quality cheap plastic rubbish. I wouldn't pay £5 for it, let alone £79 Worse, after a few months the fan has started spinning and making a huge whining noise so is unusable by my bed. The instructions say 'User can turn off cooling fan by turning off "fast wireless charging" option on Galaxy mobile when charging Galaxy mobile', but this is not true, and given it's over 6 months old Samsung refuse to replace or repair.

Tried to charge watch 8 on rhe charge pad but will not charge unless the watch strap is removed as does not lie flat on the charger. Very disappointing. This should have been thought of in design process. Nobody wants to remove the watch strap every time you want yo charge your watch. Which is daily.

Awful product! I had this and the trio chargers and both of them didn't last a year before they stopped working! So temperamental when it was working as the lights would flicker randomly for no reason and just stop charging after a while!Do Samsung care? No! They continue to sell it without improvement on the product and such poor ratings!

I received this Wireless Charger Duo as a free gift with my Galaxy Watch8 Classic purchase. I was already on the fence about getting the GW8 Classic due to the high (and increased over previous versions) price, the odd circular screen over 'squircle' case design, and availability of only one size that is chunkier than the smaller variant of my previous GW6 Classic I was happy with. But with my GW6 Classic's battery deteriorating and some glitches occurring, and seeing that the GW8 Classic does have a number of improvements despite my mixed feelings about its physical design, I thought I would take a chance on it. The inclusion of this Wireless Duo Charger and a strap for free did influence my decision - as my current wireless charger, a Pitaka MagEZ Slider, only has 5W wireless charging. The Pitaka Slider also acts as an upright magnetic attaching (with MagSafe) dock/stand for the phone - but sometimes that 5W charging speed isn't enough. Having a 15W wireless charger seemed like a tempting proposition - so I could just pop my phone onto Samsung's Charger Duo when I want a faster boost of charging speed without faffing around with a cable, or continue using my Pitaka Slider when I'm staying at home and don't need the faster speed. Even better I thought, the Wireless Charger Duo can sit where I'd usually put the regular Samsung puck watch charger - so it handle my GW8 Classic charging too. The Wireless Charger Duo also comes with a 25W fast charging PD (Power Delivery) compatible AC adapter which was again attractive for me as my only other fast AC charging adapter was already in full use, so I'd have to plug my regular puck watch charger into the only USB-C port its short (and fixed) cable could reach from where I wanted it on my desk - a USB-C port without the PD profile. Without being plugged into a PD compatible USB-C port the watch charging puck seems to charge at half speed (4.5W) rather than full speed (9W). So I was looking forward to being able to place the Wireless Charger Duo exactly where I wanted my watch charger on my desk, and enjoy the fastest charging speed without having to buy a new PD compatible AC adapter. Sadly, the Wireless Charger Duo did not live up to any of my expectations. First off - it can be hard to get the GW8 Classic to even sit on it correctly. Samsung have even had to update the combability details to note that if using the GW8 Classic's default Hybrid Band, it has to be taken off entirely for the watch to lie flat on the watch charging side. With the Hybrid Band on, the GW8 Classic doesn't lie flat and won't charge at all. I found the default Hybrid Band that comes in 'one size fits all' (marked S/M/L) far too large for my wrist, so I'm using the Active Band currently. Samsung have introduced their new 'Dynamic Lug' attachment system for attaching bands to the GW8 models - normal watch straps can still be used but they try to make this as little known as possible: Samsung don't sell the Dynamic Lug adapters separately themselves so an owner would have to find the aftermarket options that may not match the watch's colour exactly, or you can take the Hybrid Band off the Dynamic Lug adapters it come pre-attached too, but the traditional watch strap spring bar is hidden (again Samsung trying to make it look like only their own bands are compatible) - so to take the Hybrid Band off the Dynamic Lug adapters it's pre-attached too, you need a spring bar tool or to take it to a watch shop and get an expert to do it. I bought Samsung's Active Band as I liked the look of it, and I got my student discount, but was still annoying knowing that Samsung have deliberately made this as obtuse as possible to get owners to buy their own overpriced bands. Plus it was frustrating the included Hybrid Band was far too big for me as I actually liked the style. I've seen other reviewers note the Hybrid Band as too small so clearly Samsung should have done this in 2 sizes and let the buyer choose which they wanted when ordering the watch. Seen as a Hybrid Band (just in a different colour) was the other free gift with the GW8 Classic, I now have two expensive bands that don't fit. They are £49 each! Highly doubt I'll get anywhere near that when I sell them on - at least I could get a watch shop to take the Dynamic Lug adapters off one, so I can then use that adapter set to use a regular 22mm strap on my GW8 Classic whenever I want to. Apologies for that rant that refers more to the watch itself and the straps but hopefully it's helpful for some readers interested in compatibility. My Active Band does allow the GW8 Classic to lie flat enough on the Wireless Charger Duo to actually charge, but I have to push it quite hard to get it to stay flat and not have the strap flex the watch up - there just simply isn't much magnetic attraction in the watch side of the Charger Duo to keep the watch secure in the spot for charging - unlike the default puck that the watch will attach securely too. So no wonder many owners with the Hybrid Band (and others I'm sure) find the Charger Duo won't work with their strap on. Next disappointment - the Charger Duo will only charge the watch at half the speed of the default puck. So it's actually a worse option for charging the watch! I tested this with the included 25W PD adapter - with the Charger Duo charging only the watch, the charging time is double that of the default puck when that is plugged into the same adapter. From 3% watch batter that works out as around 1 hour 20 minutes charging time on the puck, or 2 hours 50 minutes on the Charger Duo to do a full charge. I don't get why this is as the 25W adapter should allow the Charger Duo to do both 15W for a phone, and 9W for the watch at the same time. And I was only trying to charge just the watch! I can't see the watch side charging power listed so perhaps it really is only 4.5W - or perhaps with my Active Band still doesn't let it lie flat enough for the full 9W. Final disappointment with the product - it won't even charge my phone (S22 Ultra) at the 15W speed. I have my Pitaka MagEZ Case on the phone to make it MagSafe compatible, seen as Samsung haven't included magnetic mounting & charging on any of their phones yet. I also have a thin silicone loop grip around my case, which is meant to be wireless charging compatible (never had any issues with it before) but the Charger Duo seems particularly fussy. I believe it's the MagSafe magnet in my case interfering with the Charger Duo, and it just won't charge my phone at all with Fast Wireless Charging turned on in my phone settings (to get the 15W speed). It will work at half speed with that setting turned off - but even then I have to be incredibly careful in placing the phone in the right spot or charging will just stop. So in the slower mode it's barely any faster than my 5W Pitaka Slider. To be fair to Samsung, I have seen Pitaka note that the MagSafe array their S22 Ultra case is particularly strong and they have reduced magnet strength in their newer cases to ensure greater compatibility. But I've not had issues with any other wireless chargers, the Charger Duo just seems to be very finnicky with cases, especially those with metallic & magnetic components, and positioning. Quite frankly, despite it looking like a great and useful charger with good specs, in practice it performs poorly and is a bizzare choice for Samsung to include as a free gift with the GW8 Classic when it isn't even compatible with the default strap on the watch. Will most likely see if I can sell on this product, and just keep the 25W PD charger as that's the only useful thing I got from this GW8 Classic promotion!
