Why do my Super Slow-mo videos flicker or appear dark?

Do not worry!

 

These are not faults in the device but are caused by external conditions. To avoid them, have a look at the following advice.    

The screen flickers and black lines appear

If there are flickering lights or black lines appearing during the playback of a video, it may be due to the type of light source present during the recording.

 

This phenomenon mainly occurs when recording has a shutter speed of 1/120 or higher, under lights with specific frequencies (such as fluorescent lights). This affects the CMOS sensor of the camera. 

 

Using Super Slow-mo under LED lighting may improve the video quality.    

The videos appear very dark

The Super Slow-mo camera captures 960 frames per second, therefore needs sufficient light to show clear videos in comparison with normal videos (30fps) and slow-motion videos (240fps).

 

If you record super slow-motion videos in dark areas, noise may occur. Therefore, we recommend using this feature in places with sufficient light.
