This review is after a week and approximately 12 loads. The machine looks really smart, is extremely quiet even on a high spin. It offers a huge range of programmes via the dial on the machine and the smarthings app has a recipe for practically any item. The auto feed detergent and softener uses just the right amount dependant on load and soil level chosen. Electricity usage is low, my smart meter hardly moved even when water was heating. The addwash door is really handy for the lone sock that got left in the basket. We have washed everything from something just needing freshening on a 15 minute cycle, a duvet, mixed clothes and dogs towels and bed. The steam hygiene is great for the dogs bed and surgical scrubs. After the dogs bed I used the drum clean feature which got rid of any pet odour leaving the drum clean. My husband keeps springing out of nowhere squealing like an excited child as he discovers something new in the app, he has developed a previously unseen interest in the functions of a washing machine. Minor things that we found were, on initial startup the machine plays a musical tune, initially novel and quite cute but soon became annoying, we found that this could be switched off. Connecting to Smart things app was tricky at first but I established that this was down to a weak wifi signal in the kitchen, once a wifi point was added it connected immediately allowing access to all of the smart functions. The machine could do with a full user manual as it has so much to offer, we downloaded from the website and printed off. After testing this washing machine I would definitely buy it, we haven't used every programme or recipe but very impressed so far.

Pour commencer le design est très sympa moderne avec sa porte noire finibde voir le tambour pas très esthétique !! Son écran est très fonctionnel et épuré petit bonus une musique de fin de cycle très sympathique. Il y a énormément de cycles différents et de fonctionnalités Echobubble qui inject de l air se qui permet un detachage à froid cela est très économique. Lele cycle rapide est très appréciable et surtout efficace même en cas de tâches J ai découvert aussi le programme lavage vapeur cela m'a permis d éliminer certaines tâches sans avoir a utiliser un programme avec forte température Le programme intelligent aussi qui permet un lavage en fonction des informations données. Le tambour est tout aussi révolutionnaire avec son brassage inversé, le linge est nettoyé dans les moindres recoins. Nous avons aussi le distributeur de lessive et assouplissant fini le gaspillage !! Ce modèle permet aussi d ajouter du linge en cours de cycle en cas d oubli par exemple. S il fallait vraiment chercher un point négatif je dirais la sensibilité du tableau tactile il m est arrivé 1 ou 2 fois de l effleurer et la machine c est éteinte l avantage c est qubelle émet un signal sonore donc un petit clic sur redémarrer et le tour est joué. Pour conclure Je suis très satisfaite par ce lave linge J ai pub tester tous les programmes afin de me faire une vraie idée des différences entre chaques fonctions résultats elles ont toutes leurs avantages. Petit + le nettoyage du tambour c est la première fois que je découvre cela sur une machine habituellement je mettais un produit et lançais un programme Là pas besoin de produit chimique juste le programme nettoyage tambour. Certes c'est un coup certain à l'acquisition mais le gain de temps d énergie et le nombres de lessives économisées car faut le dire le but premier est l efficacité et elle fait vraiment le job ! Donc au final le rapport qualité prix est justifié. Et garantie 10 ans !!!!

This machine replaced an older Samsung washing machine that wasn’t that old (about 5/6 years) and, when all is said and done, a washing machine is a washing machine right? Wrong! This machine is a different breed altogether. Sometimes a product comes along that changes the way you look at doing a particular job; like Sky+ did for the VCR or cordless Dysons did for vacuuming, I wouldn’t say this was quite as revolutionary, but it’s close. First off, aesthetics. The machine looks and feels like it’s well built. The door shuts with a satisfying ‘clunk’, the soap dispenser drawer has a little catch on it and, like all washing machines, it’s mighty heavy. The control panel on the top is well placed in a different finish to the body and the control knob spins making little ‘clicking’ noises so you know you’ve moved your selection on. The On button and the Start/Pause button are touch sensitive so they are flush with the panel, however just under the button are some braille characters for the visually impaired which I thought was an excellent addition that I’d never seen before. The rest of the buttons are also touch sensitive however these just have little lines under them rather than braille. The digital display is bright and easy to read, it’s also polite and the machine plays a jaunty little ditty every time you turn it on. I turned the music off at the end of a cycle because it seemed to go on forever! Selecting programs is clear and easy and the manual is extremely well written and easy to follow. Connecting this machine to my router (yes, it’s a smart machine!) was also a breeze and I soon had it talking to my phone through the “Smart Things” app which is simple and intuitive to use and available on both Android and iOS. I would also point out that this actually works. Often you find that manufactures add internet features to their appliances without any thought or expertise in the area. Because Samsung are well versed in all things internet and mobile, the App is fantastic and actually useful and informative. So what makes this machine so good? Well there a number of things that stand out. The first one is that it’s amazingly quiet. I never thought our last Samsung machine was loud however this is in a different class altogether. There’s even a quiet cycle although I’ve not used it yet as even the normal cycles with the full 1600 spin speed never get above a murmur. Washing machines are never going to be silent due to the nature of the activity they perform and how they do it, but this machine is as close to being ‘whisper quiet’ as I would have thought possible without sacrificing performance. The second feature that stands out is the little Addwash window in the door. Our previous machine had one of these and it proved to be invaluable, especially when a child comes tearing down the stairs with an extra school sock the moment after you’ve pushed the start button. As soon as you try to open the window the machine pauses the cycle allows you to add the additional sock, you shut the window and push start again. No muss, no fuss. Another stand out feature is the automatic detergent/softener dispenser. I’d heard of these before but passed them off as nothing more than a gimmick however this is my new favourite thing. The dispenser drawer contains two reservoirs. You fill one with fabric softener and one with liquid detergent. When you turn the machine on and push start, it automatically weighs your clothes and dispenses exactly the right amount of softener and detergent into the drum! It’s genius. In the main menu you can change the amount of softener and detergent the machine dispenses so if you are using a more concentrated liquid, or like more softener, you can easily adjust the dosage. When either reservoir is running low the machine warns you to add more. Currently I’m working through a store of tablets that go directly into the drum, but I’ve already noticed that we’re not going through softener as rapidly and the clothes still smell fragranced when they come out. That brings me to the performance. There are a number of different cycles depending what you are washing and those I’ve tried so far all seem to be adjusted by the machine depending how much is in the drum. This means that clothes come out clean and smelling fresh in a decent amount of time. To be fair most modern washing machines nowadays are good at this but because this machine adjusts the programme as it washes the clothes it is better than most and it’s certainly better than the old Samsung machine it’s replaced. It's also worth mentioning that the drum is massive and will accommodate 9Kg of washing in one go. This is an expensive machine, however the adage is true, you do get what you pay for and in this case you’re paying for a fantastic washing machine.

It has a capacity of up to 9 kg. and handles both light and family loads with ease. The high energy efficiency ranking appeals in terms of energy conservation. I noticed minimal impact on my smart meter. “Eco bubble” technology allows the mixing of air, water and detergent to wash effectively at cool temperatures. The “add wash” facility which I have yet to try, is potentially a useful additional function, allowing you to add washing even after the programme has started. Plenty of reading material was included to get you started. The one sheet of operation guideline and the abridged manual are helpful but neither sorted out the setup problems I faced. I suggest downloading the full PDF manual for use. Even then there were issues which were difficult to resolve. For instance, the washing machine arrived with Danish installed as the operating language. Trying to change this to English was not easy when you have no understanding of the Danish words highlighted on the control panel. Establishing a Wi-Fi connexion to SmartThings was problematic too because the instructions provided were unclear. A great deal of trial and error was required to get online. The control panel is uncluttered and sleek, very intuitive and easy to operate. There is a comprehensive list of washing and spinning cycles to digest but it is easy to scroll through them on the control panel. There is a super speed cycle that completes a wash in 39 minutes as well as much longer, intensive cycles. I started with a coloured wash for a heavy load and the result was good. I subsequently chose the AI wash and this was impressive. It uses sensors and AI to get the best washing results. My load included soiled dishcloths and this problem was flagged up by the machine which automatically made programme modifications that enhance the wash. This included increasing intensity. When the wash involves a lighter load, the duration of the programme was automatically adjusted. The resulting washes were clean, stain-free and crease free. This machine may look daunting but be assured that it is a breeze to operate. The smart things app is useful because you can control your wash remotely. I that the app is remembering my habits. I was informed on both smartphone and TV when the programmes had finished. The idea of using the app to schedule my wash appeared and I note that a lot of helpful guidance is included to help enhance your choice of personal settings. The kitchen pulsates enough with bleeps and buses. The tune provided at the start and end of the wash was a welcome change but will I tire of hearing it? I love this washing machine. The auto dispensing feature is perfect as I only have to fill the detergent and softener once every 2-3 months. Also the Addwash is a superb feature as I often find a sock I have dropped carrying the washing down the stairs. The motor is extremely quiet and the quick 15 minute wash is perfect for just freshening up lightly used items. I love the Smart features as my house runs on SmartThings so it is handy to have an alert appear on my Samsung 8K TV letting me know the washing cycle is complete (which is handy when im gaming and have my headphones on) as well as Alexa vocally informing me. AAA+ SAMSUNG!!!

Best washing machine I have ever used. I love the connectivity and smart things functionality. When the laundry is done, I get a message on my TV. I never thought I needed that in my life, I can never see myself using another washing machine without this. The performance is great. I am impressed by the energy efficiency. Even when it runs longer cycles, it still uses less electricity than my previous washing machine. I appreciate the added capacity. This machine was so impressive, I went out and bought a Samsung tumble dryer. It took a few attempts to set up the smart things connection. Once it was sorted, it has been brilliant.
