Important information relating to BBC iPlayer

To continue using BBC iPlayer, your Samsung TV may require a software update.

If you experience any issues with BBC iPlayer after the 9th of December 2019, please follow the steps below to update your TV:

1 Exit BBC iPlayer and SmartHub.

Please note: you cannot perform a software update if you do not exit iPlayer and SmartHub first.

2 Press the "Menu" button on your remote control.
3 From the user menu please select:
  • Support > Software Update > Update now
  • Support > Software Update > Online
4 Then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update.

Please note: if your TV has one of the following versions installed then it is already updated and you can continue to enjoy BBC iPlayer. To find out which software version your TV has, please read our FAQ.
