My TV is having menu glitches and is very slow

Last Update date : 2024-01-10

The same as your phone or computer, your smart TV requires memory. Your TV will consume more memory the more programs you run, and when the memory is low, it may start to function a bit slowly. It can take some time to switch on, for the applications to launch, or for the menu to load. In order to clear the memory cache and restore full performance, let us explain how to cold boot or discharge your TV.

Samsung TV

Your TV can restart normally by being discharged or by being cold booted. You may accomplish this in one of two ways. Although both approaches are quick and simple, one calls for the use of the remote that came with your Samsung TV.

1 With the TV turned on, press and hold the power button on your Samsung TV remote.
2 Continue holding the power button while the TV powers off and then back on.
3 You have just cold booted the TV. The memory cache is cleared and the TV should run more smoothly.
1 With the TV turned on, unplug the TV's power cord from the power outlet.
2 Wait 30 seconds.
3 Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet.
4 Turn the TV on.
5 You have just discharged the TV. The memory cache is cleared and your TV should start running normally again.
