What is Link to Windows?

Link to Windows makes it easy to send texts, see recent photos, triage notifications and use any of your favourite mobile apps on your PC without taking your phone out of your pocket.

 

First, make sure you have a Microsoft Account and that both your mobile device and the computer are logged in to the same account. Then, read on to find out how to set up Link to Windows.

Mobile device requirements: Your device must be running Android 7.0 or later.

 

PC requirements: Your PC must be running Windows 10 with the Windows 10 May 2019 update.

Please note: Link to Windows is only available on selected Android devices. Visit Microsoft's website for more information.

How do I set up Link to Windows?Click to Expand
1 Download the Your Phone app on your smartphone and PC.

To download the app on your PC, go to the Microsoft Store, search for "Your Phone", then tap "Get".

2 Swipe down on the home screen to access the Notification Panel., then tap "Link to Windows" to activate.

Please note: Link to Windows is preloaded on Note10/Note10+. For existing models with Android OS Nougat or later, if you install Your Phone Companion (YPC) on the phone, some functions may not be available.

3 Tap "Sign in to your Microsoft Account", then follow the instructions on screen to log into your Microsoft Account.

4 Tap "Continue" to review App permissions.

6 To complete the connection you will need to sign in to your Microsoft Account on your PC.

Go to "Start", tap the Settings icon, tap "Accounts", then sign in to your Microsoft account.

7 Launch the "Your Phone" app on your PC., then select "Android", then click "Continue".

8 Tap "Link phone".

9 Enter your mobile phone number.

10 On your mobile device, tap "Allow".
11 Your phone and PC are now connected via Link to Windows.
